Oh absolutely. I will never fault someone for going after money or location, unless there was some crazy heartfelt handshake agreement to stay. But even still.. it’s your life and you never know how long you’ll be able to make a great living playing hockey.

Yup. I agree. The only time I get a little irked is when a player waits out his signing rights in the NCAA and suddenly becomes a UFA. We all remember the Vesey sweepstakes. That was brutal, and if the kid lived up to the hype people would have been a little more vocal with their opinions. The only good thing seems to be that the players never live up to the hype and become bottom 6 at best. But if a top 10 pick ever pulls that move, it will be a very hot topic.
