Who had the steeper fall from grace, Dany Heatley or PK Subban? |

Here’s hoping the biggest story is Niemelainen. - Wildschwein
He brings something that none of the other D do, would love to see him stepping up. Reminds me of Andy Sutton the year he played here.

Strange. Some cap gymnastics maybe to sign McLeod? They still will be over the cap regardless. Something else has to give. |

Without him on LTIR, they are currently about 5.4 mil over the cap, with a roster spot still to fill. If we assume that is Halloway, at 925K, they are like 6.3 mil over the cap according to Friendly.
Assuming he goes back on LTIR, they are still 2.1 over the cap. Moving Koekkoek or Shore out, and Virtanen or Demers in does nothing to the cap, essentially. Barrie out is really the only cap play that will work at this point, to give them any wiggle room for injuries. But it seems like Holland has pinched himself into a position where he will probably have to pay even more to clear cap. |

Maybe his plan is Pul traded and sign JV at 750? |

We’ll there is that…but ol’ Heater was able to shake it off and have a few 40+ goal seasons. Mental resilience, I tell ya. |

(frank) I hope not. Remember when Sutton signed that extension? Same day he was a healthy scratch in press box. Tambo was (frank)ing terrible. |

Don't think too many people remember that and kind of ironic that had less of an effect on his career than what Virtanen is accused of. - leonkennedy
Well I recall most oiler fans wanted nothing to do with Heatley when they tried to bring him to Edmonton. One of those things that was a blessing in disguise that he turned down going there.
But you’re just being an idiot as usual. |

That was the dark times when nobody wanted to come here at all. Now we have Evander signing under market value to play with Connor and Leon. We need more of this.
Whatever happened to Chychrun demanding a trade? And what would it cost to get him here? |
