So crazy to go an entire summer with low expectations, just to have the expectations to drop even further with key injuries…and yet I’ve never been so excited for a coach in my life…

Trying to find some positives. Lot of kids that seemed to plateau over the last few years do have a legit chance. If your into your 20’s and been a pro for a few seasons it’s time…some, (most) have had injuries so now that they are healthy let’s see what we got. If you can’t beat out guys like Brown, MacEwen and Anisamov then you probably aren’t going to be a regular NHL’er at any time.

I agree with Jonesy in the nasty knuckles podcast. Right coach at the right time. I think when he went into Tampa, New York and Columbus, they were all irrelevant teams. He leaves and they have a direction.

If anyone can bring this group into winning some games Torts Is a good option. It’s going to take a few players to have career (to date) seasons though. At the very least maybe we will build a team identity again

Fletcher confirming what we all knew, Ellis probably won't play this season.

Career-ending injuries should be removeable from cap considerations.

I just read that McCrossin and Raffa dropped their lawsuit. They are both still employed by the Flyers/Comcast, but it sounds like McCrossin’s is now a “senior advisor “, which I guess means he still collects a salary and benefits and gets to hang out with Clarkie. The Flyers also announced they hired a new head athletic trainer, and physical therapist/rehab coordinator who I guess take over McCrossin and Raffa’s jobs? I hope the both got BIG payouts.

Since they announced Ellis is done for the year and once Couturier's second opinion comes back grim, because why wouldn't it, I bet Fletcher makes it through the year with more blame on injuries and bad luck.

And we could always have another world pandemic…his excuses are endless. He’s taken a bubble team with some decent prospects and made us a bottom 5 NHL franchise and a laughing stock.
