so bad they are probably going to be fighting for the division again

Stralman is 36 and hasn't been very good the past few years.. I guess I'm just annoyed that he's going to win the Norris Trophy this season

Southern food does beat Northern food. Give me Italian and nothing else for life and I'd die fat and happy.

Eh i don't think they're going to be great by any stretch. A little older, a little more tired, a little weaker.

Lots of injuries to start. They might be out of it by the time the injured guys get back.

- BINGO!

My thoughts too.

Ottawa finishes ahead of them.

Way back in the days of yore and being young enough to consume vast quantities of alcohol, sleep for 2 hours, and not have a hangover for work the next day, my buddy and I used to have a place at Queen & Bathurst. Our most frequent haunt back then was Sanctuary and on the walk home, he had this constant drunken urge for pea soup. He'd stop in the convenience store on the corner and buy a can of Habitant Pea Soup, and a 3-pack of porn. The one where the two outside magazines were something at least interesting, but the one inside was always something horribly sketchy like "Fat Grandmas" or something awful. Whenever I had a girl coming over, he'd scatter pages from those middle-magazines around the bathroom.

Pea Soup and Porn. That's why we don't call those the good ol' days.

At 18 I lived in a townhouse with 4 other guys. The bathroom had no door. It was always fun when someone brought a girl over. Good times…

Man. Boston is Boston. We've all been predicting their age catching up with them for so long, you'd figure we'd be right at some point . . . but?

I mean last year Marchand had his worst pts / game in 6 years. He's 34.
Hall seems to have settled around a 20g / 60pt guy for the past few years.
Bergeron is 37 and still just a hair under a ppg guy, scoring at more than a 25 goal pace for 5 straight years.
Pasta is Pasta and he's only 26, I think.

Not like they don't also have McAvoy, Lindholm, Carlo and Swayman.

If Marchand or Bergeron falter, then I think the team struggles more than last year - but they were still a wildcard team by 23 more points than the #9 team. That's a pretty huge gain for Ottawa, Columbus or the Islanders to make. I'd expect Buffalo will improve this year as well but their goaltending is highly suspect. I'm not that confident in Forsberg and Talbot in Ottawa either. I think Columbus adds Gaudreau and that's great - but their difference making youth still feels at least 2-3 years away from being ready.

100 years ago, when I went to Queens, you had to take a 12 month lease for housing in the student ghetto - May 1 to April 30.

So on the summer long weekends, me and my friends would head up and spend three days being the worst possible young men we could possibly be.

One Saturday night, we spent the early evening at our house. We left for the bar, leaving a horrid mess of empty beer bottles, chip bags - and porn. Somebody had ripped the magazine apart, and taped pictures all over the house.

We roll back in at around 3 a.m., and one of my female housemates comes running out to warn us - another housemate’s parents had decided to stay the night on their way hime from Montreal.

With their young children.

And they had cleaned the entire house, and removed all the pictures.

They left VERY early the next morning, so I didn’t have to deal with them.

Kinda ruined the relationship with the housemate, but frank him. He was a loser, and what the frank were his parents thinking?

My buddies still mention it about once a year.

I made ice cream - interesting. I could only eat a bit at a time but enjoyed. Roasting them is easy. You can do it for some. Makes them a bit milder and suitable in more recipes. I’m going to try the soup. But you can add them to hummus or guacamole or even toasted cheese sammiches. There’s a bunch of recipes on here
