He obviously misunderstood the question, and I'm sure he's going to get absolutely blasted for it.

probably very telling also

Unload the muzz (NTC I know, but Dubas can work his magic).
Grab Kane and Chychrun.....Boom Cup!
Unless Murray and his big 4.6m contract sinks the team by sucking.

We'll have no new top end prospects for the next 3 years as our 1st's and 2nd's will all be moved out to acquire the above.
So simple.

- Fakepartofme

I am hoping for Kane this TDL.

Dark horse guys who could maybe be had are Pasta and Horvat.

You also have the Jets who are the most likely team to implode this season and have a fire sale. Dubois, Wheeler, Schifleie.

Don't know if the Yotes would want that deal, but that's definitely in line with what I've read other teams offering for Chychrun.
- GreatGigInTheSky

Do you mean what other team’s fans are offering.

Assuming he’s good on the right side, I’d do Engvall or Kerfoot, Robertson or someone lower on the prospect list, Sandin and a 2nd from 2024 for Chychrun. That’s kind of a guess of the ballpark of what it might cost.

Nothing from the core and if I could avoid Robertson and a first I would.

The goal is to keep Muzzin healthy. There will be games he won't play this season.

Plenty of space for Sandin in the top 6.

Poor Muzz I doubt the guy plays 25 games… what’s gonna happen when he goes back for a puck and just get hammered into the boards…

Sandin’s leverage is going through the roof by the second.

“I think the Oilers are one of those teams and the Toronto Maple Leafs are another. There’s a whole group of teams, the New York Rangers, that would like to be in there if he moves. And I think it’s likely that he moves, but I think it’s something that’s going to wait until closer to [the] trade deadline. He’s let them know that having that full no-move and no-trade clause, he’s not interested in going anywhere in the short term.”

So Kane does not want to be a rental

Tight cap, no arb, and no real $$ alternatives to play ....there is no leverage.

It is what it is ...he's not sitting out the year and he's not playing for 200k in Sweden.

1x1 or 2x1.4 ....and get out there.

Alright this went off the rails… pretty quick …

Muzz is a poster boy for IR. Guy is already injured… No contact … what makes anybody in their right mind think this guy’s gonna play 40 games… I’m all ears.

I think it’s going to be a long injury riddled season for muzzin. I could see him not playing 25 games.

A sore back. Taking a week off of training camp.

Yes this season will be prioritized to keep him healthy but slow down a little. He isn't glass.

Played great in the 7 game series against TB.

50-60 sure.

Will want to keep him in game shape for playoffs but will want to minimize risk for serious injury.

Damn Muzzin breaking down already?!

Well looks like the Benn and Mete signings were a good call. Least we jave some depth in there.

I think that it's silly to rank any of them - they are all going to finish within 10 points of each other, and a large part of that will be due to in-season injuries.

And don't sleep on Boston.

It'd be silly and way less entertaining not to rank them

I think the Canes will be tops in the east....maybe just over 110pts
Florida will be tougher to play against in some areas but I dont think they finish with 120+ pts, so they may take a step back points wise, probably 105 - 110pts.
I think the Rangers could increase their pt total by a little.
Tampa will be over a 100pts but maybe a little less than what they did last year... 100 - 105pts?
I think the leafs may take a little step back pts wise (100 to 110pts)

A good portion of the bottom teams seem to have improve (sens, Sabres, jackets, habs)

- Fakepartofme

Agreed with the Panthers taking a step back.

I like Muzz I really do. I wish the ducks would’ve traded for him back in the day.

But if people think goalies are voodoo …backs are voodoo + .. at least, in my experience, short of groins, backs are the most debilitating thing for hockey players. Especially D men.

I hope for the best.

Yeah, it's hilariously hypocritical of me to have typed that, when I'm going to ask everyone to make several different rankings in the prediction thread.

Yep no leverage, sit or sign with the later being the more lucrative option leading to more overall value in the league and future contracts
