Interesting comparable to BO.
Bo Horvat pts last year: 52 in 72 gp
Jared McCann pts last yr: 50 in 74 gp
McCann just signed a 5yr × $5M contract. - VanHockeyGuy
McCann is a 20 goal guy Horvat is a 30 goal guy. Big difference in contracts. Not sure if McCann would skate to the bench while one of his players was being cheap-shotted however. TBD.

Rush were ahead of their time. The one thing to me that held them back was Getty Lee’s voice. If they had a better singer they’d have exploded.
They’re not as over rated as the hip though. My god Canadians soooo over rate the hip. They’re good not great.

At one time I would have agreed but Rush just not would have been Rush without Geddy's wailing. Kind of went hand in hand. And even in the 80's as the structure of their music changed so did his vocals as he was losing range...but the music never really suffered. Some of the best Rush music was in the 80-88 years where things were dialed back a bit. The documentary 'Beyond the Lighted Stage' on Rush is outstanding if you haven't seen it.
But agree the Hip were massively over-rated. Produced some good tracks and albums but I basically stopped listening around 'Day for Night'. They started to produce/direct their own material and to me it was always missing something after that. Great bands need those outside, third party voices in the studio to help give direction IMO. Plus to tell them if there sh!t sucks or not lol
But I like Rush as is. They may have been more 'popular' with a different singer...but the music never would have been written or peaked in the same way.

If Bo signs a reasonable contract fine, if not that's okay as well.
Whatever. There's many different styles of music for a reason. I appreciate the musicianship of their early albums. Very talented songwriting that strays from the radio friendly format.

Doesn’t matter what style of music; almost all music follows known chord progressions and formulas. Even “non-radio friendly” music follows known formulas.

Holy was the Linden trade 1 sided
Lefty and I were talking about the Linden trade as the greatest Canuck trade in their history some time ago. I can't watch that video because that guy irritates the shit out of me, it seems all the sports channels have assholes like this it's why I don't watch any of them.

Thanks. I see it's a pointless discussion now that you've decoded every song ever written.

Then there's...
1. 2016- Erik Gudbransson and a 5th Round Pick for Jared McCann, a 2nd Round Pick and a 4th Round Pick
2. 2019- Tyler Toffoli for Tim Schaller, Tyler Madden, a 2nd Round Pick and a conditional 4th Round pick.

Canucks announce that Jennifer Smyl, wife of former captain and current vice-president Stan, has died. - VanHockeyGuy
I remember her telling a story about Elena Larionov, and Nina Krutov, taking them grocery shopping to show them how things worked here as apposed to the Soviet Union. So she's walking them through the grocery store and suddenly Nina had disappeared, when she found her she had 25-30 chickens in her cart and she had to explain to her that there are chickens here everyday but she still bought a lot of them.

Why do you have to ruin everything?, it's Friday, you've fucked my weekend, I'll probably be tossing and turning all night, I was already pissed that it was Benning that caused the trade tree to end by not trading Markstrom, and then you come in here with your ray of sunshine

Steve Dangle is really not that bad. He's very knowledgeable and actually seems like a genuinely decent person, not like a lot of the annoying douchey sports media guys.
He goes into how the Linden trade led to Daniel and Bobby Lu and the years of success it brought the team, meanwhile the Isles wound up trading down until they eventually lost the player they got back on waivers
