I think it's more that they're trying to build chemistry between the other 3 pairs and Myers/Dekeyser are the odd men out. Coach seems to be comfortable playing anyone with Myers.

lol well done. While I love Triumph and Rik Emmett is so underrated...they did not accomplish 1/3 of what Rush did musically IMO. Plus Triumph broke up early so there is that but I don't think that trio would have achieved what Geddy Alex and Neil did. They were special in a way that most folks can't understand. Rock and Roll Machine is also a very good documentary on Triumph. Check it if you can it's well done.

ZZ Top The Jam

Interesting. Chatting about Elvis Costello the other day and the Jam came up. Don't know a whole lot about early Brit Punk but I bet Booner could comment lol. They have some great tracks however. Always liked ZZ Top from day 1. Even the radio stuff of the late 80's early 90's. They weren't great live though.

Horvat scores more then he assists on which means he needs others to do the play making as well. Also 13 PP goals of the 30. I dislike paying a player that doesn't make players around him better. Not saying he isn't better then McCann.... but also that he is not a 7 mill plus guy. - SMP8719
A part of Bo's game that needs serious work. I'd say if Horvat can stay around the 30 goal mark consistently he'd be 6-6.5 mil. Be good with that. I harp on Bo for his lack of toughness but he's a well rounded player. And if we get back to PO's he'll shine.

The Jam to me were not really punk. They were a Mod band so more rock. I guess it's arguable if they are punk or not. The Punk scene in TO wasn't big on them but they were probably the top Mod band with exception of pre 80's The Who. I'd go as far as to say The Who were more in line with punk than The Jam. Way more abrasive and a little more "street".
The Jam were just too soft for me both in music and lyric writing.

Everyone who came after built on that foundation. Every rock drummer since has been influenced in some way by Ginger — even if they don’t know it.”
Peart also appeared in the 2012 documentary Beware Of Mister Baker, which was directed by Jay Bulger. Peart echoed his previous sentiment in the film and heralded Baker as a trailblazer who was “at the forefront of a complete revolution of rock.”
He continued: “It is hard to find fault with the notion he was the pioneer of a rock drummer. There was no context for him, there was no archetype. Ginger Baker’s most notable achievement that should be recognised is the first rock drum solo. And me as a 15-year-old kid at the time was, ‘Yeah, yeah – that’s the rock drummer I want to be'”.

I don't have a horse in this race (it's like arguing who is better Howe, Orr, Gretzky, Ovi or McDavid) but the article you posted argues that Baker was a pioneer and Pert surpassed him...
