Hajek-Schneider pairing not getting rave reviews on twitter and I for one agree with that shouldn't be happening - jimbro83
I think Rick nailed it on the last thread. Hajek would be a serviceable D-man on a bad team. We're just too deep in the D. |

Maybe they’re showcasing him for a trade? Why would a team waste an asset on a player who never gets any exposure? Only thing I can think off unless he’s really turned a corner. Would welcome him as the 6D if he’s finally starting to realize his potential. |

I think he's fine to have as the 7th D man, he's extremely cheap, no bonuses and shouldnt play much, ready to jump in if somebody is banged up or sick

No problem as a 7th D over someone like Tinordi. |

Also, reading the tea leaves, it sounds like the starting point for the 4th line is:
Goodrow-Carpenter-Reaves
GG on Reaves: "I'm not gonna say he's playing every night... But when we make our lineup and look at our team in the summertime, he's an important guy for us." |

GG has said it's an open competition for 3LD, but spoke highly of Libor Hájek today.
"He skates well. He looks strong. He looks more confident this year... He tested really well. So, everything's good. Everything's leading to this guy being a good player on our hockey team" #NYR |

I feel that the NHL should not allow another country to make a material impact on what are meaningful regular season games. They should pull out of those games and play them back in the "home" team's arena.
These players have nothing to do with the war. Hasek is also a (frank)ing moron. - JRR1285

Sorry..NHL new dam well when this schedule was made months ago for SJ vs Nash that Russians probably wouldn't be able to play in Europe. European countries have been banning Russians for almost a year now frim sporting events. Dumb. |

I actually think it’s wild Jones hasn’t received more praise. He outplayed nils Schneider and Hajek last camp. He’s a good complement to Schneider now. Hajek is not An every day player |

We don't see what Gallant sees. Take away that Hajek is only thing left in MdD trade and he's just another young Dman developing and we'd have no problem with him getting a shot. I'm sure come preseason game time..Hayek, Jones, Robertson and ? will have plenty ofnchances to grab the 6/7 Dman role. It's honestly not a big deal..whom ever is playing better will be in lineup
Same thing with 11/12 spots on forward. All will get a chance. It's there j9b to hold onto it if/when their chance comes
Gallant has his vision..Let's see what happens |

The 6/7th defenseman and the 12/13 forward conversations are always exhausting with this team
We all know what it takes for this team to win it all and it comes down to the guys making the $$$ to come through when they need to most.

Jimmy, I am not a part of the Twitter verse. Think you could share Darryl Sutter's comparison of Tkachuk and Toffoli with the board?? Another classic. |

That’s always true, but some of these high draft picks like Laf and kakko have to hit this year. They have no cap at the deadline to bail them out. Not sure panarin Zib Kreider can carry them through the playoffs alone |

Multiple times per day so far in this camp I've noticed Panarin talking to Kravtsov or pulling him aside for extra work. There's obviously a level of comfort b/c they speak the same language, but it seems like Panarin is taking a special interest and leadership role with him #NYR
This is encouraging |
