Don’t get me wrong I think we all want to see them play well even in preseason. I also expect Islander fans to blow up on social media after last season and us not really doing anything in the off-season. Everyone wants to be the one to say I told you so. That’s the day and age we live in. Sometimes on this very thread. I’ll pass judgement in November if we’re in the same spot as last season.

Jesus. They must really be hoping for a big improvement in his play because he’s been very poor so far. I know he was supposed to be the next big deal in net but he sure has a long way to go to prove anything.

Yeah, don't care much about pre-season, especially the final score. Was just hoping to see something from some young guys fighting for a roster spot. However, nobody on the Islanders stood out for great play. The Rangers seemed to still be in playoff mode, and gave the Islanders very little time or space to make plays. They were the quicker, more aggressive team, especially in the first period. Speaking as an Islander fan, it was mostly a snoozefest.

I only watched a few minutes. I like to watch if Isles have a big time prospect and he is playing. The Islander teams should be pretty much set though so not much to see at this point.
