I don't care what players like Barzal, Pelech, Cizikas, etc. do or don't do during preseason. As long as they don't get hurt.
I was kind of disappointed in how Bellows looked last night though. I guess I expected him to really come out flying and playing with a chip on his shoulder in preseason. He has the one-year "show me" contract, but in order to show anything he needs to separate from the pack and crack the lineup first. But I'd say he was maybe the fourth best out there just out of the prospects fighting to make an impression...and the top three weren't exactly electrifying. |

Bellows isn't an NHL player, at least not an everyday one. His days are numbered with this team. If I thought they had a better option as an extra forward I'd be saying that I think he was going to be waived and sent to Bridgeport or claimed |
