Didn't say he is the next Makar but that type of player. Makar is on a league of his own but Korchinski his upside is very high but needs more development no rush imo.

One thing i notice he's so smooth in his skating, looks effortless, forward to backwards and vice versa, the quick burst to cover for my guy 5

You mean when he kicked it into higher gear, control the puck and got it back up ice? Okay

He was probably thinking holy poop 5 is slow

Well Hawk fans a tiny sample size but I'm worried Hawks might not be in the running for the top 3 picks if tonight was any indication. Take away who is the worst NHL goalie I've seen in 5-10 yrs, Stalock, and the 3 PP goals allowed and the group looked coached up and executed a simple game plan that will keep them in games. .........Hoping to see Stalock get 30 starts.

Nice showing by the whole left side of the D with kids who don't expect to make the NHL roster in Vlasic, Korchinski and Del Mastro. Yes Vlasic may make the roster as a rookie but still a nice showing.

Sure Savoie showed lots of grit and physicality to go along with speed but the kid had 3 clean entries and when he didn't have options on the entry he dumped and hair on fire forechecked. Much to like here.

KR sure has given the D the green light. Korchinski's elite skating allowed him to leave his crease when he recognized an odd man possibility, flew up the ice passing everyone to make it a 3 on 2, Kaner understanding the kid's ability head up fed him in the attack crease, kid gets a decent tip shot off, save, turns gets on his horse and beats the Blues down into his own slot. The skills and makings of a very dangerous player and IMO Kaner understanding just that looked for that possibility to unfold validating the kid's ability. .... Gonna have to see more of the kid to get a bead on his IQ but as an 18 yr old vs a bunch of NHL Blues a lot to like.

Seems Domi might fit with Kaner. They linked up a few times for quality chances.

Guttman looked great at rookie camp and it carried over. Nice IQ to read Robinson would get the rebound off the endwall, get to a soft spot low slot. stop in a spot where Robinson could get him a feed, then finish the thing..... Watched his USHL career and he's the same player. Good skater, good speed, willing and always seems to be in the right spot. No he won't make the NHL roster but he just develops at each level and he may be a useful bottom 6 type in 2-3 yrs.

Again small sample size but a lot to like, enough to worry about getting a top 3 pick for this fan. Just getting legit coaching was enough to expect more and add a good room with enough hunger and guys who play for each other makes for a tough out.

I loved that when a Blackhawk defenseman pinched, it was done without hesitation because the F3 was back if the puck got past the defenseman.

That was a very rare occurrence last year.
