Looks like he's bailed on that take!

Wanted to clarify something from
@Sportsnet650
this morn. I said there was concern from #Canucks initially that Ilya Mikheyev may have suffered torn ACL & they were awaiting update.
Sounds like the prognosis was positive and worst was avoided. Expected to resume skating soon.

I love how they always clarify after being proven wrong, and only after proven wrong.

He’s basically saying: just wanted to clarify, I had no idea what I was talking about.
Quinn, have think skin man, for some here once they decide an outcome they will continue mercilessly. - Makita
Thanks. I don’t know what’s said most of the time. Maybe it’s my bad English lol. On that note, does impact of injuries make Canucks go waiver/trade shopping?

Well if EP BH and JTM step up in the absence of BB we should be fine. But with IM on the IR we have CG and NH moving up. TP and JD third line Material? Hard to say but if CL and AK have anything to say they may move up. Let's not forget VP poised for a big year and the other JD...big top 9. Big.
On D we have QH OEL TM and TP top 4 with TD out but wow LS and KB will have something to say in the bottom pairing.
Goalies we should be set with TD and SM but man what about injuries? Personally once Holtby's 1.9 mil is off the books we'll be set. Trust the Science behind this ownership/MNGT group. Big things ahead. Big.

Improving on last season by 6-8pts sounds like not much to me but it is. Probably the amount needed to make the PO’s & given the run after Green was canned makes fans apprehensive for good reason. Cannot afford a poor start again. Imo it’ll come down to the details over 82 games that decides the PO’s or not. I believe they’ll improve in this but it’ll be a total buy in & needs the kids will need to to make strides to make it happen. The vets do as paid & expected should be a given.
Poolman imo is devoid of any offense & very suspect on passing.
Myers is more than passable until he pins himself into the dump off the boards.
Dermott is solid enough but expect more from him in a contract year.
Schenn is good value & being partnered with Bones allows him to be a good compliment & his toughness standing up for teammates is necessary.
OEL plays a poised game & is physical but I fully expect to see more from him after a season here under his belt.
Hughes is Hughes.
Bones will definitely add more offense & skill. Sheltered minutes & PP2 time.
Have no problem with Burroughs as a call up. Versatile to play either side.
Overall I give the D at best 7 outta 10. Don’t see more upside unless OEL &/or Bones stand out. Very easily can be 5 outta 10 due to injuries or eg Myers digresses.
8/10 is what’s needed to be firmly considered a perennial PO team.
