During my convo with the person yesterday about Jake. He did mention that Edmonton asked him to come on a PTO. Then Sutter called him and said come to Calgary, I have a roster spot for you. Treiveling said no though and then he ended up in Edmonton on the PTO anyways.
- manvanfan

Yeah heard that as well Sutter wanted JV in Calgary but was blocked by Treliving. Suspecting a clash between Sutter and Treliving this year I'm hearing also...

Watched some of the game. Not only are they soft AF many players don't look game ready. And with the Bettman schedule to start the year could be ugly lol. Maybe a few Travis Green weeks before we get rolling. #whinersguild will be on it.

Every team knows how soft they are, when the stakes are high that will be exploited.

Well the NHL is heading down the more pansy path so that should help us a bit. I know it's only pre-season but sure wasn't impressed with many on the ice last night. Not just the toughness angle the team does not look ready. At all.

I guess that's true, they will need to rely on the ref's to protect them. Sad.

Kind of like soccer now.

Not being ready is on Bruce.

Why so negative all the time?

3 pre-season games into this season and you have already lost faith in the team.

Yes but not 100% IMO. Alot of these entitled millionaires playing in the NHL just aren't dedicated like they used to be. Alot of the NHL players we see at camps here are playing through summer and are quite dedicated...but alot are slacking off too. Hey I get it they need time to themselves too but if you want to be a cup champ it takes massive dedication. Not everyone can be a Sydney Crosby I guess lol

Just giving you a jab, as you know, I don't like the make up of this team and am having a hard time trying to watch.

I'm sure it will. If not JR & PA's honeymoon may be ending soon, it's time to see results.

All good I like what we have for the most part but the final pieces we need and the build around our star depth will take a bit of time. Gonna be very tough with CGY and EDM this year in the division. I still think 3rd is up for grabs. Either these players want it or they don't. Gonna be fun.

lol it is. I know exactly what to expect with Rutherford as well. Allvin is a bit of a wild card still needs some experience. Personally I don't think Rutherford is here to 'right the ship' more for a retirement package

Men love to see a woman fail at a ‘man’s’ job. Makes them feel better about their micro penis.

What if she was fired by Granato? That would make things interesting 🧐

Yeah, the reference was to the men who come out of the woodwork to dunk on someone who got terminated and make it about diversity instead of performance. Those types are all the same, insecure and emotionally fragile.

@DhaliwalSports on Rachel Doerrie no longer being with the #Canucks organization:

"It's a sensitive, difficult story to cover...it wasn't anything sinister, juicy or gossip...100 percent it had nothing to do with Francesco Aquilini."

Good on her for not being a pom-pom queen.

As a fan of this team since it's inception into the nhl, I, like many others, who have bought shirts, tickets when in Vancouver, and subscribe to sportsnetwest, to make sure I get Canucks games, by actually paying for the product, and not looking for the free streaming services, I am not sure I will last this season of softness cuddly bears.
I do know I will be around to criticize the ballerinas, as much as possible.

- Reubenkincade

So exactly what ballerinas and soft play are you criticizing last night? Did you watch or going off past assumptions? There were a few times teammates stuck up for teammates and a few times players even stuck up for themselves.

Oh no, looks like my post doesn’t fit with the group of “this team is soft”

(frank) me here we go already, 3 preseason games in,

Fine, then you're position is they're not a soft team.

Let's see how well that ages as we get into the season.

I didn't watch the game as I find them boring and not indicative of the upcoming season.
I am looking forward to the start of the regular season.

Obviously it will never be accepted by some guys, there is always comments that they are soft.

So what was soft last night, OEL sticking up for Hughes and getting the extra penalty. Joshua playing tough and fighting.

Only thing soft last night was Silos goaltending.

The point is it is NOT indicate of the regular season.

I watched because I can’t stand regular cable and it is good to see a few players and what potential they could have Kuzemenko (sp) looked pretty good.

As you said this is pre-season. The team being soft AF is nothing new, It's been acknowledged by management they need more "grit & sandpaper".

We'll discuss this further when other teams expose this again.

I didn't get a chance to watch and I was referring to the ballerinas in here.😁
