Lol ...alright everything makes sense now. Daly making those comments should give us more confidence. If it were Fehr I'd be right there with you. No way he's underselling. - The Law
No, because DALY hasn't said 10m either..... Still only Sportsnet has. |

They are still subject to change and they often do. Over the last decade there has been many times they projected higher than what the cap actually increased. If a recession settles in you can bet the projections decrease. - TurdFergeson
IF a recession settles in? We're pretty much there.

Had an interesting chat with a bar owner at the end of the summer.
Mrs. Wedgie and I were both working in the office on a Friday. We snuck out early and met at a place in the financial district for drinks and appi’s.
We got there around 3, so got seats at the bar (we both prefer to sit at the bar - more action). Place was still empty.
Got talking to the owner - he told us it’s barely worth his while anymore to open on Fridays, because nobody works downtown on Fridays anymore.
Pre-covid, it was his best night.
Another interesting tidbit: he said his Saturdays are much better post-covid, and it’s from tourists. He has tons more tourists from before. His only guess was he thinks it’s because they’ve built up great reviews online. - Atomic Wedgie
Hotels dying for guests = cheap rooms. It's been fluctuating, but in general it's been very cheap to travel lately.

I was one of the 1% who couldn’t wait to get back to the office.
I’ve realized what I really wanted was to go back to the way it was - and that’s not coming back.
We are “2-3 days in the office” - which means “1-2.”
I go in, hoping for some human interaction, and I’m the only one there. I go to the office and then have video meetings.
The only thing I like about the office now is going to the gym at lunch. - Atomic Wedgie
Its never going back to full weeks in office. Nearly everyone has realized that companies are way better off no maintaiing an office for everyone. And it's triggered them to make remote work as fully productive as office work. It's seamless. Stuff like Ringcentral meaning literally everyone can take calls like they were when they were in office. Everyone has adapted to video calls.
This is all the new norm. Work life will NEVER be the same.

Jesus. Most of the homes in Florida hit by the hurricane don’t have flood insurance. Generally, most homes don’t but those in the flood plain can get it through FEMA. Less than half of those hit did. And less than 10% of houses outside the flood plain have flood insurance.
Most people rebuilding will have have to rebuild to higher and more expensive codes as well. - Canada Cup
Insurance companies generally don't offer insurance for these types of things because one hurricane would bankrupt so many of them. They simply can't do it.
the New Orleans floods would have taken out literally dozens of companies. |

That’s why FEMA offers flood insurance for homes in high risk areas. Less than half of the eligible owners took up up that insurance. Outside those areas, where you have to rely on private companies, coverage is naturally much lower, at less than 10%. It’s going to make rebuilding the area much more complicated. |

You make it sound like Liljegren played solid defensively in game 2.
He didn’t, and the leafs needed to play a truly defensive player.
The Holl hatred is silly, nothing more. He’s a bang on 2 million dollar guy.
Leaf fans simply don’t like large d men who aren’t overly physical, Berg comes to mind. - Dozzer
That and the Leafs have on many occasion had these types, like Berg, playing way above where they should be. Berg would have been perfectly fine on 2nd or 3rd pairing. But he was their 1st pairing guy for a while. Holl was playing way above his contract and expectations. That regressed to maybe 4th dman, or third pairing, and everbody's expectations on him are skewed. |

It’s not going to be complicated at all.
Desperate people will sell their land for pennies on the dollar, jillionaire companies will buy it all and build expensive seaside condos and McMansions, and the gap between haves and have-nots will grow. |

Tua out with head trauma.
Original play looked pretty innocent, but the aftermath was scary. |

I thought Ft Myers was kind of upscale. I think a lot of the places that got wiped out were along these little canals and had boat launches and piers and stuff.
Either way, government will help out way more than after Katrina. |

So my kid got his girlfriend to spend vacay time in Baltimore watching the Edgar Allan Poes play Cinncy Kittens on Sunday night. He has a very good girlfriend. His clinching line was Lemar Jackson might be traded away by next year |

My wife is a huge sports fan.
Guys always say, “You’re so lucky your wife likes playing and watching sports!”
I always reply, “No luck involved. I wouldn’t have married a woman who didn’t like sports.”
Obviously I don’t really have many friends left, but I love the smug arsehole lifestyle. |

Today is my wife’s bday
She got a call from school that our son was involved in an altercation with another student🙄
Apparently this kid tried to head butt my kid (x3) so he got thrown down and lost some blood from his skull
Principal blaming other kid, thankfully |

Usually the kid trying to hit others with his own head isn't the smart one.

Yeah, I'll keep the headbutting to the minimum at my job.
They seem to be ok with me taking it slow since they're not the Miami Dolphins.

The guy who posted this said before today’s game that Tua playing was black mark for the NFL and if he gets concussed he should sue the league and Dolphins. He’s really pissed now |

If you read the entire article available about this it’s to develop something to use when the leafs are looking for a late goal at even strength.
Safe to say you won’t see Marner playing D short handed… he’ll be stuck with his forward role there - Dozzer
Exactly. Plus he already plays d on the PP. I wish people
Would read the article before posting. 🤷🏻♂️
