Site must be wrong, other site shows L/R mix, only way Horvat goes is if Provarov is in the deal - onesmallleap
I think Bo might be on the way out, thinking about that today, kuz looks like the real deal and need to sign him, I see 30 Goal potential in him. Top 4 RH d has to be in the deal for it to happen. |

I didn’t really notice him, but sounds like Linus Karlsson has Markus Granlund type upside. - 1970vintage
Could be a good Ahler but not quite good enough everyday nhler. |

The Flyers are a tragic franchise, they’ve got a taller slimmer version of Jim Benning over there. Best to stay clear of that poop show - Pacificgem
Sounds like a great opportunity to bend someone over. |

Having 3C’s is a heckuva way to build a team. That said if mgmt finds it too expensive of a luxury then Bo could be dangled. It would mean they are fully committed to EP & his next contract. It would have to mean a top 4 RHD coming back or if a package then it’ll be a bold move either way. |

Hearing possible trade with Philadelphia from agent in the east, along the lines of Horvat & Poolman for Ristolainen & Laughton. Must have picks involved or other prospects being exchanged.
This source was right on Marino not coming to Vancouver but going to New Jersey a week before that occurred.
I hope he's wrong I'd rather Boeser be leaving. We'll see. - NightBeast

My "source" says they saw the future and we win the cup in 2025. Let's see whose source is better. |

Fun fact. Since Risto entered the league, he has the worst plus minus of any defender and it's NOT EVEN CLOSE. Severson is 2nd and he is 43 better. Yes, he has played for Buffalo and Philly but that is a guy who really can't defend. |

From Pr***an at the A***etic about camp standouts around the league:
Brandt Clarke, RHD, Los Angeles
Clarke has been one of the bigger standouts of the camp process. He’s turned a crowded defense situation in Los Angeles into a more crowded situation as the former eighth overall pick is going to make this a tough decision for the Kings: Do they keep him or send him back to junior given that Sean Durzi needs waivers and first-round pick Tobias Bjornfot already has over 100 NHL games? Clarke’s skill and playmaking have stood out. His skating and defensive zone play still need a lot of work, but his playmaking has looked clearly NHL level.
LA is a bit loaded on D... not ideal to trade in the division, but they may have a surplus |

I agree, they have D that are a bit better than ours.
LA gave up 1 less goal than Van last season. (not sarcasm, just stating they gave up 1 less goal last season)
I would say they have a bigger need to add scoring than Van needs to add defence though. I don't think I'd improve them more than improving Van. Unless Van is getting a higher value in return. |

If they weren't in the division they'd make great trading partners.... Van has a bit of a middle 6 logjam (when healthy), and could afford to trade someone like Garland for some RHD help |

Exactly. Possibly taking away your own chance at a playoff spot if it makes them better than you.
I'd like to see the first 20 games with the current team before making moves.
Wonder if we see Schenn with Hughes in the pre season or they know what they have and will test out others.
Individually, Canucks D could be stronger but with the right pairings at right times. I think they could certainly get the job done more than adequately |

Exactly what will happen. Can see Rutherford doing a 25 game assessment then some tweaks if needed. |

We make fun about waiver scraps, but I can see a couple teams may have to waive a decent defenseman.

In that event the teams depth will be tested, second option is waiver wire.
