Per Engels:

Looks like this for Habs vs. the Leafs tonight:
Dadonov-Dvorak-Gallagher
Drouin-Monahan-Anderson
Hoffman-Dach-Slafkovsky
Simoneau-Gignac-Belzile
Matheson-Leskinen
Xhekaj-Barron
Schueneman-Bowey
Allen
Poulin

- Karine Hains

Hoffman playing his off wing while Slaf is back on on the RW (normal position)

Eyes gonna be on Monahan.... I know he will likely be rusty and saddled with Drouin, but interested to see if he looks in good healthy, seems to be skating well, not slowed down by hip injuries.

I don't understand why there are still so many preseason games. Some teams are almost done, Habs still have 4 games left.

I think the Habs wanted to use most of their camp as a development tool and to help everyone in the organization understand the changes new management are making and the expectation from the players. Plus assess any of the crap left over from the MB era, to see who they wanted to keep.

That is why they invited so many players.

Likely the "real" camp starts tonight, with these last 4 games.

I expect cuts tonight / tomorrow.

he meant why are they playing 8 games while others are playing 5 or 6 games.

Cuts will come after the next game tomorrow against the Sens. Then they have 2 games left on Thursday and Saturday against the Sens (in the Maritimes)

They are playing 8 games because they wanted to evaluate a lot of players in game situation as well and not just in scrimmages. That and to have a couple of games for the real squad too

sorry, don't have time with 3 kids to manage a hockey pool for every game, not for a few years anyway.

Best of luck Dean

You can set your lineup weekly, i do mine on Sunday morning every week, takes a couple of minutes and then you’re done for the week (unless you get a major injury) it’s really not all that time consuming

Yeah I want a pool where I can make terrible picks, all my best players get injured long term leaving me no chance to win by week two and forget by november i'm even in it.
