Nope, that murderers row doesn't need Robertson or DeBrincat. Good grief, imagine if any of the following suffer an injury this year: Vic, Tuch, Skinner, or Tage. See ya later, Ottawa and Detroit, it was nice having you in the basement with us. |

Where exactly are you developing Biro to? You think he's going to be top 6 some day? I know I can right now rid my organization of a non NHL player and add a better one to my NHL roster at no cost. Yes, bottom up improvement is only incremental, but it's sustainable. Anyone on the active roster (say Peyton Krebs) who drops to Biro's level of play now sees the press box. Was anyone ever going to drop to Bjork's level?
Decision after decision, the Buffalo Sabres roster is the least priority. - lacaprup
When you come into camp every year with a set LOG line, it does deny opportunity to do what you're describing. No one wants 2 8m+ combined fixtures on their checking line.
Biro was never going to make this team based on 2 games in camp. His route is playing great in Roch and earning an injury call up.

How does Anders Bjork remain in a Sabre jersey? Branden Biro must feel great about that. There seems to be nothing he can do to earn a spot because he was undrafted; meanwhile, there's nothing Bjork can do to lose a Sabre jersey. Is the a money/contract reason for this? Certainly on ice play has zero to do with it. Is this another move from the crack analytics department that zeroed in on (read: were forced into) Comrie?

U do realize that Bjork will be in the pressbox, right?!

Fair point on the former. To the latter, Biro is also working off an excellent season in Roch last year. |

You do realize our small fragile players will be injured right? There's no reason to keep non-NHLers on an NHL roster. We could create competition for slouches like Krebs and new blood like Quinn and JJ. There's no need to WASTE A ROSTER SPOT on a garbage non NHLer.
And, again, we don't improve from the top, so we better improve from the bottom.

If he follows that up this year, he'll earn his chance. Will be interesting to see who earns that first call up this year.

Pure idiocy
Quinn & JJ won’t improve bc Biro is wasting away in the Press box instead of Bjork
Waaaaaaaaaaaaa
I can’t believe Bjork is our 14th forward

Also interesting that they are holding VO out. Going to make the obvious assumption.

Wow.
Have we even seen implementation of the technology yet.
You may be right, but an equal chance you are wrong...especially after the break in period.
I hardly notice the advertisements currently that are shown on the glass behind the net (think they are also going to be on the side glass as well).
If the implementation on the boards is the same, I doubt I'll notice much more than the 2% that catches my eye now.
Baseball has been using it behind the batter for many years.
It is a meh.
Might be condemning the league very early. |

To be clear, your position is every NHL team - especially crap ones who never make the playoffs - should waste a roster spot instead of creating competition to see who is dressing each night. Yes or no?
There's no reason at all Biro has to sit every night just because Bjork was and is too good awful to ever dress. Are you that stupid you can't understand that? There is no law that says you have to dress the same 12 forwards every night when 12 of them are not distinctly the best 12. |
