Blackhawks with twelve picks in first three rounds of 23/24. - Angotti
And probably a few more to come.

That's like saying he was the tallest midget. - boilermaker100
Someone had to be.
Fwiw - Sun Times had Stillman or a pick and Richardinson. |

Thoughts on Richardinson? - Assman22
Think it was a cap move. This is one of the cap contracts the Hawks were to acquire. A 2nd is pretty nice in a strong draft year.

It’s a 2024 pick tho. Wish it was a 2023 pick but still a 2nd, late or not. |

Ahhh... Bummer. That's why it wasn't appearing on Puckpedia. Right, still not bad for a 6-7D. |

He’s the forward version of Stillman.
Stillman can be an effective 3rd pairing d-man but he became expendable with all the young guys coming up. Plus, getting a 2nd round pick is a stellar return. This deal will be a win for both clubs |

Yes, but surprised they moved him with McCabe and Mitchell out, and Murphy’ injury history. |

It’s not like they care if they get worse this year. In fact they probably see getting worse as a benefit. A mid round 2nd round pick 2 years from now is a decent return. |

And C. Jones, and probably Murphy. End of the day, it's not really that surprising. They are moving around 3rd paring guys. If they fill in with middling guys from Rockford, it's not really going to change much. |

I wonder if the Hawks make a few more minor deals to pick up draft picks while take on fairly small contracts.
On a separate topic Janmark was waived. Might be a cheap pick up. I would rather have him than Robinson. Not a huge difference in their salaries. |
