Hawks over/under point total set at 66.5 on Draft kings. Hammered that under considering last year they hit 68 points and after early March....they may not score more than a goal a game.......
Been a long time for me to be this disengaged for a hawks season...but here we are. Don't really care what happens...going to enjoy the few remaining games of the Toews/Kane era.....and hope they give themselves the best chance to get a top 2 pick at next year's draft.
Colorado may dump 6+ on them....Thinking 7-1 |

10 years in the league and has played no more than 28 NHL games in a season. Looks like 7D material. I doubt if he'll be worth anything at the TDL. Maybe C. Jones will be out for an extended period and Tinordi draws the 7D spot playing once in a while. When Jones and McCabe return, 2 of Regula, Vlasic, Roos sent down.
Since Tinordi was claimed on waivers, he has to spend the season with the parent club, I think. |

Doesn't have to. Hawks would need to put him on waivers to send him down.

I seem to recall the knock on him to not be a first round choice, is too slow skater for NHL grind. Although now he has some NHL experience. His dad Mark played for Minnesota North Stars. |

Thinking two things with claiming Tinordi:
1. They don't want to call up any of the kids, so they have more opportunity to develop in Rockford instead of sitting here as the 7D. They have three waiver exempt D-men here already. One more gets sent down if/when McCabe returns.
2. The unlikely event that he might show something a team wants at the TDL. I mean they did get a fifth for John Scott, so anything's possible. |

Just like they sent Reichel back to Rockford, they want the kids playing where they are projected to be slotted. Reichel when he comes up will be in the top 6, they want the young D to play top 4 minutes, not be 6th or 7th defenseman.

Blackhawks lines today:
Athanasiou-Domi-Kane
Raddysh-Toews-TJohnson
Kurashev-Lafferty-Entwistle
Blackwell-Khaira-Robinson
D pairings rotating but McCabe and Murphy are in full-contact sweaters, Caleb Jones participating in non-contact sweater.
Richardinson hasn't arrived yet
Amazing the new guy gets auto corrected to richardinson. Wonder if Richard in son works?
Nope guess he is now J.D. or Jason D. |

Agreed LA....makes perfect sense and in a year where they have a zero chance to win who cares...... |

Ask and you shall receive:
I just want to say that anyone who gets the chance to see the World Junior Under-17 should. This last one was a huge eyer opener to the talent coming out of the this draft class. The Canada team was SO good; smart quick talented.
Did you click on the player names on the site? Because if you do, you see my thoughts on them as I keep filling them in , adding to them etc.
Brayden Yager
A shoot first centre - wing who displays one of the best releases in junior. A hard accurate shooter who has improved his playmaking, and regularly scores or creates highlight goal. His wrist shot is is fast off his stick, and his traffic area play highlights his strong puck work and shooting skills. He knows how to play off coverage, making himself an available option for his puck carrying teammates. Likes to rocket in on zone entries from the left wing side. Models his game after Nathan McKinnon.
What I like about him is he is a scorer, and he is another Nazar type fearless when in between groups of defenders converging on him. Ultra smart in the attack zone.
(Note: I am not sure how many of the draftniks have him at 4th overall, there are others who are really nice prospects who can be stars and may get selected earlier. Yager might be be around longer because teams are going to like the bigger thicker alternatives...
Oh and I just realized those were my rankings, which I continue to move around. |

Tinordi is the muscle that the Stillman trade sent packing.
He sat in enough press boxes that he knows his role, and will not be someone taking a kid out of a job. |

Unfortunately Tinordi’s skills are those of an 8th defenseman. |

I get the feeling that the Hawks will finish with the worst record, but end up drafting 3rd with Bedard and Fantilli going #1 and #2.
On the bright side, I think the Tampa pick in 2022 will in the low-20s. Nate Danielson would be a nice pick in that range. |

He has seen a few NHL teams fso far, so maybe he is Rockford's enforcer after he tires of the press box at the UC....
Nate Danielson The former MVP of the Alberta U-15 triple A is a push the pace centre-iceman with a strong 200 foot game that displays dogged compete level from a kid that has pro size and a desire to make a difference on every shift. Already pro-size, he blends skating, stick-handling, and outstanding effort on the attack and the PK. An high end zone entry guy who through the middle zone with fluidity in his carries, He scored 27 goals and 57 points in 53 games for Brandon in 2022-23.
I have going in the late first but remember we have an entire season of junior hockey to watch to see what we see as good future NHLers.
I am now thinking that the big 6 6 Czechia goalie Michael Hrabal might be in the sights at Tampa late one or Hawk second rounder if he is there.
I am currently in North Hollywood for Nolan River's 11th birthday, but you guys got me revising my draft list before I should be letting the season happen.
The newest version has size as a priority. I just like changing things so the people using it as their guide start getting unsure of "their" predictions". Lots more hockey has to be played before you can use a permanent marker to pencil the first three rounds in.
So many guys can climb up from the 3rd to the 2nd and 2nd to 1st, so thick is this draft, padwans...

We all are worried about what we cannot control. Much rather root for the notes with a new off waivers goalie and rogue Philly goon squad lose more than we can, if that is possible.
It will be all right.
On that Tampa pick, I think a lot of their final standing will depend upon their "new" look, and if an uninjured Brayden Point plays like a true first line player and how Hagel and their future "scorer" Ross Colton fare and their thin new look defense of Hedman Cernak, a dinged up Mikhail Sergachev, Zach Bogosian, youngster Foote, Haydn Fleury and Phillippe Myers...and fact the entire league saw their Andrei Vasilevskiy exposed to have a weak area in his game. |

I’m not worried about the draft, I’m just having some fun.
On the brighter side, Colton Dach was named captain of the Kelowna Rockets. I’m not sure on the exact numbers, but it seems there are a good number of Hawks prospects who wear the C or A for their respective junior teams. |
