I watched the 3rd of LA-Vegas last night, other than 5 minutes worth LA looked slow 2 steps behind Vegas. I wondered if they played all their preseason games with a vet heavy presence that has been suggested here, or they played their prospects as has been cried about here.

They did win 5-4 vs the Oilers in the pre season game where the teams were a little better matched. the 7-2 loss was vs the C+ squad.

I put LA ahead of Vegas in the standings prediction forum this morning. It will be close between the two and I think Van will be pretty close to them too, just slightly better.

I figure injuries will catch up to Vegas as usual.

This is most likely. But seasons have surprises and I think the Flames will implode. To many changes and not hungry enough.
