Kurashev is off to a solid start this season. He’s one of the few Hawks forwards to stand out in a positive way. - DarthKane
He has been good. Seems alot more strong on the puck.

He was brilliant on that play to setup Toews last night. He sold shot so well and boom, wide open net. |

Richardson has them playing hard, just hope they develop well because they could be very exciting in the next 4-5 years with speed to burn. |
|
|
|
Caleb Jones = Gus. Ugh!!!
Still liking Roos. Maybe Rutta-like. A decent simple game.
Dic.kinson has to be an improvement from Khaira.
Katchouk same.
Perfect result. Watchable but a loss. Tankathon is on track. |

Athanasiou has zero vision or awareness. It’s like watching a thoroughbred with blinkers/blinders.

Rangers had the GAG line (goal a game) in the late 60’s or early 70’s.
Hawks are going to have a GAG TEAM (goal a game) this year. |

Of course, with the exception of Seth Jones, none of the current Hawks will be with this team in 4or 5 years. |

They'd been there before though -the GAG team - they were like that in the late 70's - that if they gave up more than 2 goals a game they were in deep doo doo ...otoh -well keeping it competitive, and still losing - I guess that works for a quality outing given the circumstances. |

2 Ls down, 80 to go. I was getting worried about last night’s game, the Hawks played well and could have won. |

Hysterical….. I type Di.ckinson. But it auto corrects Richardinson. |

Stalberg 2.0. His trade value will be limited, probably a 3rd or 4th. Domi could net a 2nd, but I could also see him sticking around for another season. |

Amidst the disappointment in the team's goal scoring ability and the sure poor record, is a slight ray of hope
Yes several dmen prospects in this system could take steps in their development.
We have good reports on Mitchell and Vlasic heading into camp. Now comes along Roos.
Not too bad, looks promising eh. Good size, good skater, already some experience having played a couple years or so in a top Swedish league
Of course we shall be excited once Korchinski comes along. In the meanwhile Roos might turn out to be a descent even good ADD.
Moreover a rebuild would be aided by several dmen prospects showing well under Richardson..might see one of them traded for a forward..A goal scoring forward[img][/img] |

Good night for Chicago…..
Bears lose to a 1-4 team at home…
Hawks lose a game they could have won….
Perfect….. Have to be bad in order to get good (draft)….
Lastly: isn’t Tyler Johnson supposed to be “good”? Most unimpressive player on the team, especially for what he’s being paid. I’ll be stunned if he scores more than 15 goals….
Always thought he was overrated now we get to see him for this year and next….
Good for the tank I guess….
Exhale….

Some players need to play with talent to look good, play on a team without talent, not so good. |

Bears game was beyond maddening. SO tired of the NFL deciding when to call PI and when not to....and i also thought you couldn't dive into a qb's legs but I guess if you're not Brady or Rodgers all bets are off. Mooney for all his talking in the media is not better or worse than Anthony Miller.
Watched parts of 1st, most of the 2nd, and all of the 3rd period. Stallock (spell) had a goalie game where 1-0 doesn't do show the play. Hawks are just going to have a LOT of trouble of scoring....and that's OK. They play hard and seem to have an idea of what they are doing vs this time a year ago.........

A few more games like last night and we can add Stalock to the trade candidate list at the TDL. 97% save percentage while stopping all 9 high danger chances.
Hawks have a good chance for a win at San Jose Saturday night. |

Yes, Roos looked like the big discovery last night.
If this is what Stalock is about, how long until he wins the starting job? Darling said on the postgame that he's the best puck handler he's seen since Turco.
The Hawks did struggle to set up in the O zone most of the game. Even when they had the extra skater.
The important thing was that they were watchable, as has been said. I couldn't get through more than a period of any of the preseason games I turned on.
The most important thing is that the Hawks outhit Vegas 41-20, amirite???? |
