If we want to be an elite team demko needs to shut the door, they had 6 quality chances from what I seen 4 went in, he would be the first to tell you it’s not good enough.

Give it up, this is not an elite team…in any scenario!

Only issue is that he cant one time it on that side. Need a righty otherwise teams will just keep cheating toward EP.
- Nucker101

I think the issue is EP’s release is too slow and he doesn’t move enough. Agreed. I almost wonder if Miller and EP should switch sides sometimes to mix

I mean, I’m a die hard jays fan. I was a kid at outdoor school listening to Carter hit his winning HR on a radio. Can’t ever not be a jays fan but I’ll admit I don’t like their young core

I'm cool with rolling with 8 teams, but 10 would be cool.

I was sitting in an old historic log cabin dug into a mountain top on Hudson's Bay's "Brigade Trail" on top of Loadstone Mountain when that happened. The stove was made out of tire rims and the roof had a big hole that was tarped off. All 3 of us got our deer tag filled in that day and we were well into the whiskey. The WS win was one hell of a way to cap it off. It might be one of my most memorable days in a positive way.

Hooray!! Just what this team needs... a gimmick.

Bieksa is going to dress for a single game.

- boonerbuck

Just put him in the lineup. we need him. Soft AF!!

Doubt he skates to the bench like your boy Bo...

Exactly what Bieksa used to do. In fact in almost every liberty taken on the Sedins you can see him in the clip only going as far as "stern words and warnings" which didnt do poop.

Almost all of Bieksa's fights were about Bieksa. He would go after someone for a tap in the shin pads, over being embarrassed with his poop play or be wound up over trash talk. He was not a leader in the dressing room... he was part of a small clique who divided the room along with Kesler.

You can (frank) off with this "your boy Horvat" routine. He's a hell of a lot more useful than Boeser. Most of the stuff you say about him is a reflection on your narrow mind.

We had it coming in clear as a bell on the radio. That location was great for radio. Some nights we would pick up a Denver radio station.

We need less PP's. Our Powerplay is basically like being a man down. Puck goes around the perimeter to Ep, Miller or Hughes until we lose it. Kuzmenko and Bo barely factor in. EDM put pressure on those 3 players and shut us down. King needs to stop living in 2011 and realize these players need a better strategy.
- Retinalz

What, you don't Luke a PP strategy that is obvious to my daughters, who have never played hockey, but but have occasionally watched?

How am I saying both? Sure, our players are pro's, but they follow the game plan that Jason King puts out for them on the PP. King seems to just follow what Brown did and never deviate. Sure our players are pro's and can adjust, but they will follow his plan and other teams will be waiting.
- Retinalz

"We just had 8 PP's where we pretty much cycled around 3 players and Oilers systematically destroyed it. Every team will see what they did and look to do the same thing. It may not be as easy once the season gets going, but these are pro's and can adjust pretty easily to something like this."

Is what you said. Unless you're talking about the other team's pros who can adjust, but the Canucks are pros and can adjust as well..? Sure they follow a blue print, but it's a pretty league-wide blueprint, and King isn't out there telling them how to shoot and pass. Not that I love their powerplay or am defending King, and I think it could be better, I'm just not decrying the whole season because of one game after they were 9th overall last season.

Also, you said "It may not be as easy once the season gets going, but these are pro's and can adjust pretty easily to something like this." Is it not easy, or is it easy?

Wait, are you saying they're screwed because teams will copy Edmonton and the Canucks will be systematically destroyed? Or are you saying the Canucks are pros and can adjust pretty easily to it?

'Cause you're sorta saying both...

- NewYorkNuck

I think he is saying that even people, who have never played hockey in their life, can figure out what they are doing.
They made a mediocre goalie look decent last night.

lol but I'm not generalizing and marginalizing this 'it's Boeser or Horvat' or bust thing. Sure the cap is tight having said that there are many moves MNGT could make to accomodate a decent Horvat contract. Bieksa may have been alot of things and sure like most players he picked and chose his moments, but I'd take his toughness anyday over what Bo is providing on ice right now. Remember, we were losing both Miller and Boeser because of the cap too!!
