The problem with that logic is that you are presumably going to have the same logic with everyone else. "I am going to get paid more later so I'll kick all of my expenses down the road". Everything is going to add up quickly.

He could still sign another player to a long term deal and we still would be under the floor next year. Of course we have to fill out the roster, but even then we still are probably 10m under the max. With so many young players the Sabres should not have any problems with there cap for awhile.

The cap floor went up $.8M from last season to this season, or basically the cost of the Cody Hodgson buyout.
