It's a topic I generally agree with you on. Team isn't in a place where they can play their 3 best two-way forwards together. Hopefully they are building towards something similar to that.

Good read! Seems like we on this board are the only ones who think Lyubushkin had a bad game. Will be interesting to see how much time they give Quinn. I hope it was just opening night jitters but when I watched him in the AHL Playoffs last year I started to think he might need a bit more AHL seasoning. Really hope he finds that comfort zone in the next few weeks.

Will just send him a foot shimmy, give him that extra inch so he's not to short. People say he's a cream puff, but he might be one of the best Sabres forward with puck retrieval along the boards.

the little bit of the playoffs I have seen not involving the jays choke, the padres closer is nasty
not sure I ever saw a nastier lefty in the pen, maybe Righetti

I really don't think it will be long. If the Sabres hold to to what they have said. I expect him to move up and take Quinn's spot and Kozak take Asplund's spot and I expect Rousek to take Girgensons by the TDL. I don't think Quinn is ready, but again it was only 1 game.

I know we're not quite on the same page with how quickly these kids will be promoted, but I like your optimism.

I just think the timeline needs to be adjusted a little. They are going to have a lot of Forwards coming through the system very shortly. Decision will need to be made quicker IMO. Plus I believe they need another Top end D man and what or who is used to get that because we don't have it in the system.

Trouble I always run into here is what I want them to do vs what I think they will do are 2 different things. Extending meatballs is a strong indication that they feel 0 pressure to speed things up.

It was a bit of a surprise. I like Donnie as you know and have read alot about him. He wants to win Hockey games, and getting this extension. He isn't one to take that next day off cause he got paid, he is still gonna work it.

Good choice of a word. I think that is part of this next phase they seem to have started. Can Adams break that moniker and go out and get that player. Go a long way to breaking what the outside perspective is.
