Does Biro play C at all? Such an interesting dilemma they created. Why couldn't they see this coming?
- Lunaion

Biro played C last year a bit after coming back when Rochester was dealing with some injuries and call ups

Sounds like another W, who can play a little C. KA's specialty.

Like I said before I believe Kozak or Nadeau will be the future 4C. If Mitts fails it really throws things for a loop. If that happens and Savoie isn't ready for full time duty next year what happens then. How does Krebs go to C when he can't handle W at this point.

Plenty of cap room to address it...but there was this year....and last year. Guess they have to admit they have a problem first.

Didn't someone say Don was good developing centers?

Is Krebs the new Hodgson? Highly touted but ultimately a kick in the Richard?

We need a tough guy to beat up Tkachuk.

We could use a 2nd line center, Mitts is worthless.

2 games in and it’s as clear as day…Adams assembled a group that requires a miracle for them just to compete.

Mitts/Krebs look identical in style and both play soft worthless hockey.

Dahlin assuming the tough guy role because of how obvious that void in the lineup is….it’s going to get ugly.

do the sabres give up on casey after 2 games, no
maybe move him to wing

do they give up on quinn, no, maybe sit him a game

that is all

- homiedclown

If it was just those 2 that would be helpful.

tkachuk Just showed the league how to easily beat the Sabres….make the skilled players play as the tough guys.

I don’t mind the extension for Adams as I like the pipeline he’s developing.

Granato‘s extension though, yikes.

His PP has been a disaster ever since he arrived as an assistant coach and his line combo’s are extremely inefficient to start the year.

Hellen Keller should have been able to see Skinner-Tage-Olofsson wouldn’t work for a variety of reasons.

It worked at the end of the season last year.

Yeah, I was hoping it would work again. Think they need to think about putting Asplund MittSnickerdoodle Olofsson back together and see if they can get MittSnicker going. And that way Tuch can go to the 1st line and hopefully get Skinner and Tallness going.

No it didn’t.

They were still a black hole defensively, albeit with some offence sprinkled in.

Now there is no offence and they are still a black hole defensively.

Skinner-Tage-Tuch was our best combo last year so put it back together and stop franking around.

Skinner-Tage-Tuch
Asplund-Mitts-Olofsson
Quinn-Cozens-Peterka
Girgensons-Krebs-Okposo

Is that a lineup that gets us to the playoffs ? No.

However, if they keep screwing around with ineffective line combos I’ll be watching Bedard, Fantilli, and Michkov highlights by December

Krebs should sit a game and let’s see how Hino handles 4C role. Krebs honestly should be in the AHL

Sabres need another Tuch up front no doubt. I don't see it in the pipeline either.

It is critical for every member of the team learn and instill in themselves the fortitude to stand up for themselves aand their teammates. We have seen past Sabre teams through the years with a couple of tough guys and the rest with soft underbellies...it doesn't end well...usually with closed-door, player only meetings.

They are learning character, it will pay dividends in later years.

Unfortunately Character is hard to change in that aspect. Most either have it or they just don't.

I'll maintain that Skinner Tage and Tuch is not L1 caliber.
I agree, it was a productive line last year and deserves to be put back together, offensively it showed the best.

I like Krebs Cozens Peterka so far, also would be interesting to watch Quinn Krebs Peterka together for some time as well.

Asplund Mitts Olo would be an interesting combination to me as well.

I would not be sitting Quinn as this is a critical development year for him. His history in Juniors and the AHL is it takes him time to acclimate early when making a jump up...but then he breaks through. Time is required and he has the right coach to move him through it.

No, no he shouldn't. He should be playing and developing. Like other young players, he also needs to be coached up.

It is a development year, again.

Interesting after 2 games thischoard wants to walk away from the mission of this year.

How about Tage? Haven't seen too much about a guy who looks like he is regressing hard.

The Sabres under previous management failed where Adams has so far succeeded, drafting and developing. Adams is doing a good job installing a positive culture from Rochester up.

Adams has failed annually at protecting the youthful talent that’s promoted to the NHL, he doesn’t even try to acknowledge it let alone attempt to do anything about it.

Character is exposed not built through losing.
