Peca was right about Peterka, kid is money.
1st line problem - Olo
2nd line problem - Mitts
3rd line weakest link by a mile - Krebs
4th line problem - Okposo looks 45 out there
Numbers will change dramatically throughout the season. I’ve watched last season, kept up through camp and preseason, and watched both games…the problem players aren’t bad, but are used incorrectly due to poor roster management.
These players have upside, the role they are currently being implemented to fill exposes them, that’s not good development IMO. - washedup20
Vic has never worked on the top line. It didn't look particularly good last year when they tried it at the end of the season. They broke up a perfectly good 74 - 37 - 71 and 53 - 72 - 89 to mess around with moving Tuch down to drive another line. Classic case of fixing what ain't broke there. Yes, they need a second line, but they can't base it around Tuch.
They new problem is our 4th line of 21 - 74 - 28 has been great in two games. Not good, great. Are we taking their center so he can be a left wing for Vic?
We need that 4th line right now. |

I look at it as Krebs, Cozens, JJ has been better than Mitts, Quinn, Tuch. - Lunaion
Peterka and Cozens to be sure. |

Tuch, Cozens, and Asplund make any line better. It's hard to build a good line without one of them.

Agree with this. I do think tuch is being held down by his line like a boat anchor |

I agree with you in what they are missing.
For a team to be really good, you need 3 players like Tuch at forward and one like him on defense.
They need 2 more at forward so they have one to anchor each of the top 3 lines.
Players like Tuch are difficult to find, but it is what they are sorely lacking. - kingcong39
Agreed |

Really sucks that he has to play there. Ideally, he's not a C either.
Did they really need to extend KA and Donnie before seeing this team on the ice?

Krebs isn't getting caved in as much as we see. |

Asplund is completely overrated.
Very easy to build a line without him.
Glorified ahl player, he's gonna be replaced soon |

What happens if Pillsbury MittSnickerdoodle or even Krebs doesn't grab a C spot and Savoie isn't ready right of the bat or ever at C. Ostlund needs to put on 20lbs, he's a few years away. Kulich is a interesting guy but he looked better at W. Kozak or Nadeau are your 4C of the future IMO. But will really hurt if 1 of those 2 don't step up. |

Well atleast he will have his Girgensons Bobble Head Doll to bring back memories when Girgensons is gone before that Glorified AHLer is. |

You've turned into a complete troll. Gets old.
Would be nice if you were right about anything , ever 😀
Girgensons had a beautiful snipe.
Tied the game, then the back up goalie let in 1 more than the other team .

Where did I say send them down. And there were players that were borderline. Has Quinn done anything to change that. - Buff36
Nope, and probably won't for ~25 - 40 more games, the point is it is critical development period and he has a history of slow starts...then getting it.
Tage should be the target if these discussions...he needs to step it up big time...become the play driver on the line, not a guy who needs it (Tuch) done for him. |

Krebs has been a turnover machine. For some reason he cant get the puck out of our zone. 2 games in a row.
Cant make the simple basic play at our blue line.
Tuch is the best player on this team, aside from dahlin.

Your Sabres 5v5 xGF% numbers so far this season via @EvolvingHockey
First line fix is staring them in the face. biggest positive of the year so far other than the obvious peterka is Krebs, who has earned those underlyings

Seems like Asplund is helping a little bit towards this year. We know Great28 is so much more of a stud!! Numbers are scewed |

Good post
Tage set up skinny on the doorstep. Sweet passing play.
The new contract puts some pressure on for sure. |

And that's why I said they can't change it. Consistency and Chemistry need to be built. But also winning and the Sabres have other young players that might deserve a look, especially if Quinn is not picking it up 10 to 15 games in. Like you said development and they are gonna have a lot of prospects to make decisions on soon and that includes some of the young guys with the Sabres. |

No need to bite today or tomorrow.
That's my point.
Our conversations were enjoyable, now it's just a bunch of gibberish.
Hurt 28 bs., you've stooped to below my level and should be ashamed of yourself.
Your better than this. |

Same as last season with Krebs. He may be single easiest player in the NHL to knock over. It's not that he doesn't try to get a puck along the wall; it's that he physically can't. He can pass to anyone anywhere. That's about it. |
