SCOUTING REPORT
The son of former towering NHL defenseman Kjell Samuelsson, he boasts a similar, stay-at-home game (with strong defensive acumen). Can play a physical brand of hockey and also displays a little offensive upside. Much like his father, he will never be the main power-play point man on his team at the National Hockey League level. Also, he needs to keep his discipline in check so as to avoid taking too many bad penalties in the NHL.

Long Range Potential: Big, solid shutdown defenseman with some upside.

He's not that imposing physical specimen and he's not Myers either. He's a modern offensive big man who will need to learn to use his reach defensively.

Still kinda confused when people want to rate a defenseman solely by his point total.
“Puck moving, offensive defenseman” are great, but you you need someone who can actually knock the other team off of the puck and take it back before it can be moved....
Ex. Panthers, the year after after winning their division, yet losing in first round to the (fukking) Islanders. They sukked balls with 6 Dmen always fishing to steal pucks and never once just putting someone on their ass and separating them from it. It doesn’t fricking work....

I feel like a lot of NFL fanbases have kind of adopted the Bills for that very reason (in the sense that if their favourite team doesn’t win they wouldn’t mind seeing the Bills finally get one).

As long as he helps keep them out of are net, I could care less if he scores any goals. I like the deal, been watching this kid since his USNDP days. Kinda a shy kid, can't wait until he fully adjusts and the full nastiness comes out.
