I think we might be overrating Frost. - SuperSchennBros
Oh I agree. We are all talking about him as if he is this high first round pick. But looking at the history of players taken where he is taken, there are very few players who have become stars, let alone even productive NHL players.
If he becomes a 40-50 point guy he will have achieved way higher than most historically picked at 27.

You think? That looks like a line where Frost will have to do a lot of heavy lifting. - SuperSchennBros
That’s the case for any C on a 5v5 line with JVR. Guy is a complete misfit for today’s game. A coach’s nightmare. |

I don’t think the pending players have been fairly accounted.
TBD on goalies Ersson, Sandstrom, Fedotov
TBD on guys that made the roster out of camp this year like Allison and Laczynski.
I think that overall the Flyers are an average drafting team with an obviously positional deficit at RHD. It is hard to separate the drafting and development evaluation. I think they might be in the very bottom ranking for development. - NC Flyers Fan
Drafted in 2015. How much longer do you wait? Bottom line is as of today they are non-contributors.
Not that I disagree with your ranking in the development area. How many prospects from those drafts have left the Flyers and gone on to thrive elsewhere and had an NHL career? |

Its talk about not watching and people thinking they no more than people who have been more in the business. Why wouldn't people watch, because they are bad?
It the talk about they should made this move or done this move, we do not know what moves they tried to make and didn't make. It's takes 2 GM's to make a trade so Fletch did what he could do, I am glad he didn't give up First round picks.
Eagles sucked until Andy
Phillies sucked for a decade
Sixers sucked through the process BS, and how many draft picks are on the team still from the process. The process got them Embid and an aging Harden.
You support and watch your team through the bad and the good. Will the Flyers suck, there is a good chance they do, I have them finishing in the bottom 3.
I am going to watch as many games as I can, I want to watch the young kids grow together on the team. I am pumped for tonights game - WhiskeyMan
Agreed. even though I know we are going to be terrible, its still Hockey and the colors I watch through good and bad, although bad has been the norm of late.
This season is different with this upcoming draft class, what Im rooting for is just be a hard out game in game out on our way to a 60 point season

Poor Sanny. - Tomahawk
The deal itself will likely be solid deal for both. Just would have preferred they move on. Money makes people do crazy things like stay on this team.

I'm looking at this lineup tonight and i can't help but to be excited. I agree with Chuck Fletcher. I look at this lineup and I think youth, speed, tenacity, EXCITEMENT.
Who is going to step up and a be a part of the future of The Standard? |

So who is the first injury? I’m guessing it’s Farabee rushing back. Good odds on Hart too - hereticpride
Hart should be safe, rr is not playing tonight |

In a weird way, knowing that they are going to be terrible this year will make the games easier to watch. With low, very low, expectations disappointment is nearly impossible. |

That averages out to about a 65 pt season. Given that this is a tough part of schedule, team has not yet adjusted to new coach and key players are out, I would prefer at least 1 more loss. - PT21
Coupla bad bounces, which is our calling card, we can go 4-12-4!

Totally agree. The season only gets saved if Hart is a Vezina finalist. When the HC is talking about "team wide scoring" needed, you know he isn't expecting a top 15 offense. Tough to win a lot of games with anemic of an offense unless the goalie is amazing.

If it is hard to separate the drafting from development, then how can you assess they are in the bottom for development and average in drafting? |

This is why you take the wine away from the uncle.
Another useless contract for player that isn’t part of the solution. Waste of a trade asset.
That Samuelson contract looking better and better by the day.
