They are in a hole here. With only 50 contracts as well, it's either an EBUG or a trade. Woll is hurt, Hildeby is in Europe (and not ready) and now Kallgren is hurt, too . . . yikes.

I wonder how much Vancouver values a guy like DiPietro. He used to be higher on the prospect pole, but I don't think he's working out. I always liked him, but he may never be an NHL goalie. A low-level risk like SDA might be a decent swap of assets. Both are guys who's potential looks like it'll never be realized, but it's there . . .

Good old Leafs. Not enough that they pin their hopes on a guy we all knew would be hurt immediately. It's that they also left themselves no room to address the issue. No cap space, no roster space. Beautiful.

The only video showed him skating from the bench to Sanford and then off the ice. You could see that he was in some discomfort if not badly hurt.

Gotcha - I thought it might have been that but my inner "well actually" took over.

Absolutely it could be - but at some point this year, it won't be. I think it's unfortunate that our goaltending depth is so shallow that potentially losing a guy like Murray, who we all wish we'd never acquired in the first place, is so problematic.
