It's the Aquilini's $$$ so they can fuck it up as much as they want, 10 years of spending to the cap with nothing to show for it is their plan and they must be happy with it because they continue to run the team in this way. If the value of the team drops dramatically maybe they'll be forced to sell but as long as idiot fans continue to buy tickets and over priced drink and food then we are going to get the same product year after year, this team is never going to win a cup, maybe that's the plan.

The way Bruce Boudreau explained it, feels like Canucks will go with Noah Juulsen over Jack Rathbone in Poolman’s spot tonight. Noted how WAS is big physical team and VAN is missing size w Poolman and Myers out.

It's the Aquilini's $$$ so they can fuck it up as much as they want, 10 years of spending to the cap with nothing to show for it is their plan and they must be happy with it because they continue to run the team in this way. If the value of the team drops dramatically maybe they'll be forced to sell but as long as idiot fans continue to buy tickets and over priced drink and food then we are going to get the same product year after year, this team is never going to win a cup, maybe that's the plan.

It's really more a question of Aquilini keeping his nose out of team Operations. We thought we had that with Ruherford/Allvin but so far doesn't appear to be the case. Most posters know the framework of what we need to be a cup contender, but ownership seems to always get in the way somehow.

Dermott, Poolman, Myers...yikes. Not good. OEL needs to pick things up. A good a chance now as any for him to show a little value lol

OEL will never pick things up. I've watched enough now to know he does not step up at this stage in his career. He is steady I'll give him that, but the best we can hope from him is a 3-4 mill defenseman - basically half his contract. He will get some points as he flips a lot of shots at the net and will get some bounces, but about 75% are harmless and end up with a goalie freezing or a turnover in possession. I suspect he plays it safe to avoid turnovers and can blend in the background with as little scrutiny as possible. Basically, he's the polar opposite to Miller in this regard.
