Weird about Bunting but weirder things have happened when it comes to the Leafs.
One site after another is supporting what manvan is saying about 26 before sept 15th.
So pick which ever one of the two reasons Kuze isnt eligible for the award but he's not wrong according to the hockey world. There are two reasons why he isn't eligible apparently. - boonerbuck
Kuzmeno was ineligible years ago, it has nothing to do with his age.

If the KHL were considered a pro league by the NHl then Kaprizov wouldn't have been able to win it. Or Panarin.
His age had nothing to do with it. You've seen that Micheal Bunting was officially nominated for the award? Maybe playing with Matthews had something to do with that outcome. - golfingsince
Michael Buntings birthday is Sept 17th. That's after the Sept 15th cut off.
Woke up to see the highlights. So does the O/T loss after multi goal lead count toward adding to NHL record? - Quinn's Quest
I just seen highlights as well. How is Miller still getting PK time? What was Schenn doing on the gaudreau goal? Podz-Petey-Hogz looked like they had a good game.

Add to the KHL players: Ovechkin and Malkin. (To not even mention the SEL players like Petey..)
As has been pointed out, "winners must be 26 years old or younger on September 15 of their rookie season". Since Kuzmenko was born on February 4, 1996, he is currently 26 and 257 days old, which makes him ineligible.
Maybe this will make it more clear, from the NHL website: a player must not have attained his 26th birthday by Sept. 15 of the season in which he is eligible
Kuzmenko attained his 26th birthday in February, which is before September.

Boudreau said post-game positive steps were taken. I'm good with that. - LordHumungous
Can't start the season the way they did under Green if team has playoff aspirations. 8-15-2 when Green was fired. .500 hockey for the next 21 games 10-13-2.
Larger positive steps like getting into the win column need to happen. 😆
Missed the game, as no internet, cable or cell service, for a few hours yesterday.
Seeing a few highlights, and reading some stats, I see #65, is a lot like how Jason Dickinson looked, except twice as much, Pouty still struggles at the faceoff dot, but looked good on several highlights, Hughes looked brutal, and is playing 10 minutes per night, more than he should be.
