I'm sure that's how Lordy has it bet. - A_SteamingLombardi
Took it as a Tie as both clubs are 0-3 and man the Bettman point for both clubs in OT should be the way to go lol. Going 4-3 Nucks OT. |

He’s not too old, must be 26 years old or younger on September 15th of current season, which he is, he’s played too many professional games the year prior I think is the reason. - Pacificgem
Vancouver Canucks: Andrei Kuzmenko
One of the hottest free agents out of Russia and the oldest first-year NHLer on this list will be looking to make a name for himself here in North America. While Kuzmenko is 26 years old, he has yet to play an NHL game. However, he is too old to be eligible for the Calder.

To be considered, a player cannot have previously played more than 25 games in any single season, nor have played in six or more games in each of any two preceding seasons, in any major pro league. In addition, Calder winners must be 26 years old or younger on September 15 of their rookie season. |

He is? Didn’t the guy from the Wild win the Calder at 26 or something like that? |

Thanks Carol. I think Myers' value is starting to come to light for some on here. He's our best defender and it's no surprise that part of our game has suffered the most without him. The team plays a more complete game with him in the lineup.
Suck it Neemer and Yorky. |

Incorrect, it’s because he’s played more than 25 professional games the season prior. Not because of his age.
“ Eligibility for the NHL Calder Trophy is a bit complicated. To be considered, a player cannot have previously played more than 25 games in any single season, nor have played in six or more games in each of any two preceding seasons, in any major pro league. In addition, Calder winners must be 26 years old or younger on September 15 of their rookie season.” |

He was 24.
The example is Bunting. Sept 17th bday. So Sept 15th he was 25. Sept 17 he was 26.
Kuzmenko was 26 in Feb. |

The Canucks should get right on Thursday. Wild haven’t had a lead and their sieve goalies can’t stop a balloon.

The error is in the kid who posted that Kuz is too old on the Canucks social media. He’s not too old, he meets the age requirement, as he was 26 years old or younger on September 15th of his rookie season, this year. It’s because he’s played too many professional games. |

He has to be 25 as of Sept 15 of the season. After that he can be 26. He is too old. |

No, he has to be 26 or younger on September 15th of his rookie season. Which he is.

That's like saying you're dating the prettiest girl in town, when your town is filled with 2s and 3s and you're dating a 5. Technically it's correct, but that doesn't mean it's great.
Do the Canucks need him on D? Yes. Does the Canucks D, including him, suck? Also yes. |
