All this talk about Bo keeping this team from playing rough is comical. If anyone does that it's the officials who have historically... or at least since the Bertuzzi incident punished this team for any kind of abrasiveness or physical play. A different set of rules for this team always.

Last season's 4th line was better than the one we have this season, at least so far. Still early though, maybe they'll establish some chemistry.


I think Motte was the biggest loss, he drove that line. Have to wonder if the team would be better off with him instead of Dermott.

Agree. Highmore and Lammikko were all good in their role last season. I like Lazar... but we need 3 players like him for a 4rth line.

You are not going to the box for your physical play because you are known to be a physical team.

That right there is a rigged system.

I just think there is a bias over the rough stuff since the Bert incident...possibly sub conscious on the most part... or not. I don't see other softer teams consistently go to the box for physical play... or get singled out in a 2 man scuffle when no punches were thrown and all kinds of crap like that. Like the refs are always trying to avoid letting the Canucks get wound up over bad hits and liberties being taken etc...

Not sure I buy that since the Flames literally had a guy intentionally hit a referee years after the Bert incident and even after the Burrows/Auger mess and Tkachuk got away with a lot of poop as a Flame over the past few years.

I think the refs do give a team poop for maybe 2-3 years after that but eventually it's forgotten about as they see new coaches/gm's/players who had nothing to do with the previous incident
