Bedard is now where near in McDavids class from what I've seen so far. Draft a good RHD FFS. - LordHumungous
That would have when JB was trading for Miller and Garland. Probably could have had Schneider and Clarke hypothetically. |

Like I said before I think Rutherford is here for retirement money not to build a 3-cup winner like in PIT. We get what we get. I know what to expect. Hoping Allvin uses his scouting prowess like Benning did to snag some gems like Petey.
However I'm going all-in on a home win for Van this Saturday. Maybe it's the reverse effect we normally suck at home and are good on the road so a big home win streak?
- LordHumungous
Yeah I honestly think JR just too old for the game nowadays. Got lucky having Crosby, Malkin, Letang which afforded him ability to make bold complimentary moves. As long as he didn't eff with that core, he could take some swings and even some misses. Maybe he thought he had the makings of a similar core here with QH, EP, JTM but quickly realized one bad move and this team could be guaranteed bottom feeder and not potential bubble team ... and he knows FA doesn't want that. Combined with the tease of a decent team 2nd half last year with the BB bump and the league didn't take them seriously ... only reason I can think for him to be so reserved and just trod down the same path laid out by JB. |

I don't buy Boudreau's positive takes, I do agree with JR stating the team isn't playing the right way. After 10-12 games we may find Mike Yeo stepping in. |

I think a loss tomorrow will be the end of Boudreau's reign. |

I don't think so, if they don't figure things out before they go on the road again something may happen.

Aren’t they still paying Green? What a franchise. |

I don’t think so. Firing the gm-coach-towel boy last year was the end of the slack for the players. You can’t just keep firing coaches and let the players escape all accountability. What will happen next if the boys keep losing, is you might see a trade where you trade Boeser or Horvat with cap retained at 50%(if needed) for a nobody, just to shake the room up.
At this point firing coaches every 12 months does little but allowing the country club to escape all consequences. |

Agreed. However, it's the Canuck way to take the easy route. They had a chance to make a culture change over the summer and instead doubled down. To me, that means that they don't find fault with the players, they just keep making up excuses.
Although, Rutherford's recent move is brilliant, "I expected this...".
We're not at the "but the floods" level yet... |

Agreed. Getting rid of Boudreau does nothing to solve the issues. |

If you draft 1st OA, who do you take if not Bedard? The top ranked D is a lefty and not even in the top 10 currently. Trade Horvat and use that Pick on the RHD and take a C with our top 3 pick(assuming we continue to be unable to win a game) |

Not sure where you get your information from, but, I am pretty sure this kid is the highest ranked defenseman, who is in the top 10 and is also right-handed.

Can anyone other than Bo, win a faceoff?
I guess that happens when you play wingers at the centre position. |

I've said before BPA is fine in the top 5 or even top 10 IMO. Outside of that fill your needs and develop. |

Another statement that is a sad state of affairs and depth for the nucks - we could really use Brandon Sutter right now. |
