Mistake. No one in junior hockey has ever shot the puck like this kid, Bedard.

And to reiterate what I said, I just saw Kyle Woodlief also believes that prospects in the mid - 30's in this 2023 are comparable to the player who would have been taken in the late teens in 2022.

I hope it is starting to stick that we are going to get three really fine chances at excellent players before that 2nd second rounder and the the two third rounders and that is really fortunate and the perfect time to have extra picks.

Wiz, why are you so sure Chicago is going to get the #1 pick? I think there is more pressure on Bettman to get Bedard to the Yotes, therefore I am not even pretending that Chicago gets the #1 pick. Fantilli would be the best they can do.

I like what I’ve seen of Fantilli but Bedard is a much more skilled player.

I agree, Bedard is the prize. But if you can get three first rounders in the top 20 I might pick that over one Bedard

I agree I still have a gut feeling hawks will end up with 4 2023 1st round picks one from Kane deal and maybe a combo of towes and Murphy for example to another contender could fetch another 1st but to early in the season. I do like that there us effort physicality and solid compete level so far. Imo wins and loses this year don't matter as much as building a culture and commitment to the system and development of young players.

Only 5 games in, the team is still giving up to many odd man rushes to my liking. I do like this coaches system and i like the hard working hockey players on this team. It's way too early but did KD assemble a poor man's version of the LVGK expansion draft team?

They've basically been in every game but the first one. That's a lot better than last season -which I don't even know why that guy JC was even coaching -I guess technically he wasn't.
