Why? Because he’s having a bad start now? That or the contract isn’t an anvil. There will be a team willing to part with some future assets. The Canucks wanted proven players which was the sticky point for trading. But now Ruthford is talking rebuilding and that changes the equation.

As much as I want my team to win, I have zero confidence in this group, to do that.
Maybe I am an old-school type, but your stars still have to be somewhat aggressive, not pansies like this team plays like.

The way they’ve played to start the season, they’re untradable. It’s going to probably cost a first rounder and/or salary retention to dump a guy like Boeser. Miller is 100% untradeable with that contract in tow.

John Shorthouse bless his heart … the last 5 minutes he just rattles off excuse after excuse trying to find some light at end of tunnel but you can tell his heart is hurting.

Sounds like an undervalue reaction. They are playing like sh!t doesn’t mean they are always going to be that way and especially on another team not struggling.

But if you’re right then no choice but to keep them. Sell the players playing well to get the rebuild. That seems to be the logic.

It’s really just more of the same poop and excuses we’ve been subject to for most of the franchise’s existence. Only for about a five year period, 2008-2012, has the team been truly championship caliber. And even then they didn’t manage to win a Cup.

The team looks awful! No getting around that. Right now there’s hockey, playoff baseball, football and even basketball, if that’s your thing, it’s a great time to be a sports fan as there’s a lot of options out there and beer to be consumed.
