The write-up on this down the road is going to be fascinating. There have been too many talented young forwards that have failed to develop in our system. In some cases that's obviously on the player, but it makes you wonder if things could be dine better.
It's also surprising we couldn't manage to deal him for a bucket of pucks to at least get him out of the metro. Perhaps no one wanted him at a price and we waived him as a favor....maybe we'll find out eventually
