I recognize that he is a Swede but he is over 6 feet. Not a match and would upset the locker room

I think it's safe to say apathy has already set in with the Canucks.

no rebuild? because ownership looks at the DET/BUF rebuilds that have been ongoing for 10 years with nothing to show for it.

I was right, Marwood was wrong. Business as usual around here.

The goal is one round of playoff revenue.

Miller: "We want to win really badly in here, but that's a really good team over there — tight checking and so responsible and disciplined and they're all over you. Instead of being negative, the take away is there's no quit in the room, I can tell you that much."

Friedman still linking the Canucks to Ethan Bear
- BINGO!

Kind of brutal of Carolina to do that to Bear

The Canucks are interested in Ethan Bear from the Carolina Hurricanes, who is lower on their depth chart than..... Jalen Chatfield
- VanHockeyGuy

I'm telling you man, Chatfield's been good!

He fits in really well with how they play.

Friedman also suggests they might just waive him too.

Friedman: Ownership sets the overall philosophy and Rutherford calls the shots. I think that's how it works there.

Frankie would rather re-tool for eternity than properly build a team with some patience.

That would probably be better for Bear than this poop show

And vice-versa. He’d probably end up on top pair against top lines here and get destroyed.

He would probably just retire instead of being part of this epic trash heap.

I'm indifferent to how they choose to address this, if they stood pat all season, fine.

Frankie will just tell Rutherford to trade the 1st for a dman

It wouldn't surprise me if players have asked their agents to get them out of VAN.

In case anyone likes reading Marek and Friedman

I'm on board honestly. Unless the Canucks somehow come up with a 10 game winning streak all of a sudden, I would like to see them tank and draft high. The top of this years draft class is stellar, and if you could somehow parlay multiple pieces into another 1st, or trade up for Bedard or somone else in the top 5, do it.

They wouldn’t be the first ones. Edler went from refusing to leave to refusing to negotiate further and signing in LA, that’s pretty telling. Schmidt(an American) agreed to waive to go live in Winnipeg for the next few years, that’s some desperation to get out.

No one likes being in a Canadian market when the organization is a mess.

Idiots can keep blaming the fans but if the team wasn’t run so badly then players would be happy to stay here. Gillis was able to re-sign players pretty easily at below market cap hits.

He was a terrible AHL defender. I’m sure he is a product of the team

We all know the team is going to win a few games here soon to keep playoff hope alive and keep us stuck in mediocrity.

I doubt it. Half the cities in the league are complete trash. If they do, ship them to buffalo

Well that’s one way to tank. You got to love the chaos early slumps pose.

Could be. The way the Canes work the D has free rein to go balls out all the time and the forwards have to cover for them. Makes sense that a guy who sucks at defending but creates a lot of chaos jumping into the play would thrive in a situation like that.
