Yes, the "accidental" tank. Maybe we could label a few more things like we do the groups in here.
Label's seem to be a sticking point for some and actual results don't seem to matter unless they were labelled correctly. Like the Mayo, it wasn't labelled correctly and it was actually yogurt. Is mayo much more enjoyable than Yogurt? Should you be disappointed it happened even though it was a good thing.
Yogurt>mayo individually btw - manvanfan
What do you call it when a team spends to the cap, trades away more picks than it acquires and still sucks every year except one over the past 6-7 seasons? |

The analogy went over your head. It's not about what you prefer, or what's better, it's what you're primed for.
If your body/brain is thinking it will be tangy and it comes in sweet, it's going to taste terrible... because it's not what's expected.
Like the Canucks, they set the expectation of winning and competing. That's why fans are upset with the constant losing (the exceptions and results over years...)
If they went into full rebuild, and the expectation was losing, then people would be primed for it, and wouldn't be freaking out over a 7 game losing streak. |

you're 100% correct, but you'll probably just get a dumbed down response like "so losing can be good?" |

We need Carol here badly to explain the difference between mayo and yogurt as 80% of the knuckle-draggers in here wouldn't be able to get the f ucking jar open.

Yup
Bottoming out when you're trying to win is about as pathetic as it gets and it's happened to this team multiple times over the past 8-9 years

Imagine how much better we would be today if Linden won the power struggle with Benning.
It's unfortunate we have such a moron for an owner. |

Could be. The way the Canes work the D has free rein to go balls out all the time and the forwards have to cover for them. Makes sense that a guy who sucks at defending but creates a lot of chaos jumping into the play would thrive in a situation like that. - BINGO!
The Canucks have the same system except the forwards don't bother covering. |

What if Bo starts handing out participation ribbons to all of the players after each loss to boost morale? He could even have a special consolation prize for Brock if he finally engages in a board battle but inevitably loses. 🌈 |

Frank the Canucks, as long as Aquilini is the owner they’ll never have success. I just cheer because I grew up in BC. Seattle is in year two of their existence and they’re better than almost ten years of Jim Benning |

Ottawa looks good too after a complete tear down. I don’t expect them to win the cup but I watched a period last night and they play a heavy fast game. I enjoyed it. |

One thing we have learned over the years when the fans are booing and tossing jerseys on the ice, it does get FA's attention.
