I tried to watch some of them but they bore me really quickly and I turn it off ... it's all CGI with paper thin story lines.

I love good SciFi movies but for some reason I never clicked with superheroes ... the only one I could bear to watch was Watchmen.

As I said earlier, to each their own when it comes to movies.

I used to buy comic books when I was a kid and I wanted back then to see superheroes movies. Kids today get that chance, and even as an adult I enjoy it.

I've always loved Marvel more than DC though. Their stories happen on real earth instead of DC where it's a made up world.

Also, DC's superheroes are bland and kinda repetitive.

Green Arrow
Green Lantern
Green Hornet

Batman, Batgirl
Superman, Supergirl...

You get the idea

Yeah, I am/was a huge comic book collector growing up (still have about 5k books bagged and boxed).

Was never a big fan of DC comics, they were too... good vs evil, no middle ground. That sorta changed going into the early 90s, but by then I had stopped reading (could not afford my habit and eating while living away from home at University! LOL)..

Also, I wonder if I would be such a huge comic book fan now, as a kid growing up, given that there are movies to watch.

I’m speechless:

Formation du Canadien ce soir :

Caufield-Suzuki-Hoffman
Drouin-Monahan-Dach
Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher
Pitlick-Evans-Dadonov

Guhle-Savard
Xhekaj-Wideman
Harris-Kovacevic

Montembeault

#CH @RDSca

- Karine Hains

1- I'm happy Monahan is no longer on the first line. I said it before, Habs need to find a 2nd line!!
2- unhappy Hoffman took his spot, that guy should be scratched.

imo, Habs should go
Caufield Suzzuki Anderson
Monahan Dach Gallagher
as their top6

then Dvorak to center the 3rd line.
with Pitlick Evan Pezzeta as their 4th line. always!

that leaves 2 spots open with Dvorak for Drouin, Dadonov, Hoffman and Armia.
let those 4 plugs fight and may the best man win. 2 will play, 2 will sit.

yeah, but the storyline and acting are also good.

there are other movies where they're just trying too hard with the humor and it becomes tiring (a bit like with the recent Thor, imho).

I think there's a common ground between "all superhero movies suck" and "every superhero movie is awesome", but oh well
