My point is that the team acquiring him doesnt need to worry about several of them on their cap, because it will be added to ours, either this year or next(depending on when we make trades). This increases his value to a contender, esp if we can get at least .5 production out of him. - Retinalz
Maybe, I’m not sure how the NHL would deal with bonus carryover if a player was traded. It’s probably never happened before… |

It’s a mediocre team and will be for awhile unless they find some roster balance.

A loss tonight may expedite the process. The Canucks like making moves on Friday's.

I think the decision has already been made, look at the roster they keep throwing out there.

Holy fuck, the homers are out on a full on defensive today. This team is god awful and has been for years. - Marwood
It’s a tough battle, the bath salt homer street gang is so delusional they think they are tough and never wrong. We all need to stick together. Where is our leader Reuby? |

Hard to say what's happening. Rutherford and Allvins comments this week don't tell us much. Get back in the W column and go from there. |

And the mysterious IR moves, I guess that's how you navigate the waters nowadays.

Not really, this draft class looks great, a top 3 pick would be nice but I’m not expecting a bottom 5 finish
It should be a team in no man’s land |

That might suggest somethings up with a shrewd GM. Haven't seen much of Rutherfords gun slinging yet, a couple more L's will turn the heat up.
I can see a meeting with Francesco at the checkered table in little Italy coming up.

JR did say rebuilds do take a few years last week. They are icing a D of Stillman Schenn Burroughs Brisebois Rathbone with forwards Lockwood Joshua Pizza, I am not going to make an issue of it but in my mind, I think they have made the decision and are going to do it properly and lose right from the get-go.
Fans love winning but almost as much they love a good draft. Give the fans what they want one way or the other.
If you want high draft picks then you can't complain about losing.

The core that pouts when the going gets tough. The one C that was sad last year and pouted until January when the season was over. The one D that can’t defend. The core is spectacular 🌈🤡 - CanuckDon
BTW Hughes is #1 in the league for completed passes last season by over 300 passes(over Hedman) he was tops on the league for carries out of the d zone, and topped many other important stats. His defense was also not bad last season in general. Hughes is the definition of elite and considered top 10 defender in the league. |

From what I understand (aside from Bedard) if you were to tank, this would be the year.
Tough to keep everyone happy in a situation like this. Let the cards fall where they may.

According to Dreger(I know, I know), execs around the league were confused at what the Canucks did this summer.

I can if they’re trying to win by signing or trading for poop long term contracts and trading away more picks than they’ve acquired
I think I saw a tweet that said the Canucks rank 27th out of 30th over the last 10 years in draft picks made in the first 2 rounds.
People who supported those moves can’t complain about poop depth now. |
