When you look at which #Canucks players are generating and taking scoring chances, as @camcharronyvr is doing, it’s clear that the gulf between Vancouver’s defense corps and their opponents is a chasm:
The rates are telling. Opponents have gotten 41 scoring chance contributions every hour, compared to the Canucks 31. Among forwards, it's much closer at 32-28, so while the Canucks forwards group has generally been getting out-classed every game, it's not by as wide a margin as the D, which is where teams are really piling up their scoring chances advantage on the Canucks. Among defencemen, opposing D have nearly tripled the offensive output of Canucks D.
Yup.

He was a regular poster who sold himself to Ek as someone who could fill for the absence of our blogger full time. After Gage left, there wasn't a regular blogger here. A couple started and disappeared.
Epslen was terrible. He was the most unrealistic fanboy. Worse than Nighthawk even. Some of the crap he said brought in an unbearable amount of trolls.

The trolls were great because at least the Canucks fans would gang up against them and not each other. |

Esplen fancied himself a scout, the guy was ecstatic when VAN drafted Hunter Shinkaruk in the first round. Shea Theodore still on the board. F*ck. |

He actually took over for Peter Tessier. Remember he started posting under Pete’s account and there was a significant change in “personality” with the writing and then when he introduced himself it was like “haha, you didn’t even know it was me”, but it was clearly not Pete anymore. |

It’s the great reset? I don’t know what to expect of the season. Whatever it will be it’s going to be nothing of what anyone expects or predicts.
It’s been a Canucks theme to do the unexpected. Sell they buy. Win they lose. Then the opposite lol. |

He has 2 goals in 8 games, which equals 1 goal every 4 games. Which makes it a pace of 20 goals, not 31.
Did you go to the Lefty school of math?

Ya, I guess using that logic, is why many claim Boeser is a 30 goal scorer.
Sheldon Dries is on pace for an 82 point season, using the on pace for, logic.😁 |

Did Mikey a solid by moving him somewhere he might actually play. Apparently the kid they acquired is a bit of a project, so not likely to have an impact. |

Boeser is an on a 30 goal pace goal scorer, but having only scored 29 he isn’t an actual 30 goal scorer. Not sure about this year, is he at zero still, so on pace for zero? |

Studnicka, adds some depth at centre ice, which the team is lacking in. Not sure why they gave up on the 19 year old defenseman though. |

Another big game tonight.
5-1 Canucks, as they get a 2 game win Straka going.
Top 9 8 points. |
