Fine line: Don't mess with what is working, or reward solid performance. Hopefully they report the morning skate lines.

Or as someone else pointed out, just call up Sikura and plug him in until T. Johnson heals.

Why not Reichel? Reichel needs to play with skilled guys to make an impact. I would not mess with the 3rd line, that has been the Hawks best line all year. Reichel has went down and had success. Throw the kid a bone and see what he can do. Reichel’s style fits Richardson’s system perfectly. Don’t like the idea of moving Blackwell up, he is what he is. A 4th line energy guy with a nice motor and the ability to kill penalties.

Haven't seen a Hogs game, but aren't the Hawks grooming Reichel to be a center? If so, I would leave him down at Rockford until a center spot opens up.

FWIW, the Ice Hogs web site has Reichel listed as a LW. 2 goals and 4 assists in 4 games.

When Reichel was sent down, Richardson and Davidson both said he needed to improve his play away from the puck. I'm doubting that has magically been remedied in four games, but I could be wrong.

Leave him down there for a while. Remember, the Hawks aren't actively TRYING to win games this year. It's been a fun symptom of the coaching and players thus far.

I think Katchouk is very close to being ready to return.

I could see Kurashev playing with Toews and Raddysh and Katchouk or Reese Johnson slotting in for Kurashev.

I think Khaira is a decent fit to move up to Johnson spot, just because he can get in down low and into the corners with the other guys on the line.

Knowing his injury history, I cringe every time he goes in the corner. Hope as the net front presence, he doesn't take too much punishment (especially to the head).

The Hawks don't have a pressing need to put him on LTIR. They might need that money to stay above the floor if they unload players at the deadline.

Hopefully it's not serious, whatever the injury is. Does anybody know more about what he has right now?

Ankle sprain. LR said he dodged a bullet. Hopes to be back in about 4 weeks. They are saying it is similar to Katchouk's
