So because Toews made a terrible play it was okay for the Jones brothers to watch the cross crease pass like they were window shopping?

Edm scored 6 goals and a Jones was on the ice for 5 of them. Seth Jones is getting pulverized out there. Its a very small sample for sure but a guy making 9.5M rocking a sub 40% CF is not good.


Fine by me cause he is perfect for what they want out of this season but its another hole that will be need to filled in the draft going forward.

They just stood there watching with their sticks being useless but keep thinking seth jones is good.

Seth Jones plays a lot of minutes due to the current lack of talent on the NHL club. I know that he makes $9.5M, but we all know that he’s overpaid. Caleb Jones needs to go, why they don’t play Roos over him is mind boggling. For those that trash Murphy, he’s the most reliable defenseman on the team, Kevin Dean doesn’t have much to work with at this time, but that will change when the young ones come up in the next couple of years.

Yeah, it was just a really well executed play. Trying to point the finger on that one is kind of nit picky.

Toews with a backhand pass exiting the zone. The Hawks are doing that less year than last year, but still too often. Toews knows better. His body language showed his anger at himself. He has been playing pretty solid this season.

I would really like to see Galvas brought back up to rotate with Roos as the 6/7 dmen. Get C Jones off the ice altogether. He makes mistakes every single shift. The most cringeworthy player on the team by a wide margin IMO.

I believe Galvas could become a regular in the NHL. He's 23 and in the last year of his ELC so why not give him 20+ games to see what they really have in him.

Then, he is behind the others just mentioned. Thus season maybe through x'mas play even rotate C Jones then decide what his future holds.

As far as I am rooting, oth J Johnson and either McCabe or Murphy are placeholders. McCabe needs to improve and I am willing to give him some time to improve. McCabe was coming off a descent showing when we acquired him. He too probably goes evd tally. Only veteran by end of next season should be S Jones. Dean has 3 veteran NHL Dmen in the lineup - S.Jones, Murphy and McCabe. I'm not saying they are stars but those 3 have spent a long time in the league and many teams are playing with less than that mainly due to injuries - the Bruins, Panthers, Leafs, Canucks among them.

In the end it doesn't matter, this team is going nowhere but hopefully will be entertaining all season. The real excitement will come from finding out what Davidson is able to get on the trade market for Murphy, McCabe, Domi, AA, and a few others not named Seth Jones.

He can watch a video of it instead if sending a valuable first pick rounder into the AHL the he is eligible....

It is not worth the experience over safer minutes developing his game in junior right now.

Agree with you on Seth Jones watching the game last time and about half dozen times said to myself what are you doing Seth?

Will be interesting to see Soderblom on Saturday. Supposedly Buffalo is desperately looking for a defenseman. Maybe the Hawks can leave McCabe back there on Saturday?

Caleb should be wearing a #23 Bedard jersey.

Having Troy Murry on color commentary makes the telecast so much more enjoyable. Troy really laid into Towes on that last turnover.
