Selke, Tippett, JVR, Cam… they have had injuries so you pick guys up. They are 5-2 w a shyt load of injures. Can’t really complain here. Look at their centers for Christ sake and yet they are 5-2.

And Provy 100% is earning his contract this year.

Good news is Hart is showing he can really play, TK seems to be maturing into a top line winger, Farabee is getting back on track. We should also mention Laughton turned out to be a really good pick and he was, dare I say, developed well by the organization

It is fun to watch this team, they dig in and keep playing, Torts is an odd one but let him keep pushing the buttons, this is not sustainable, or I don’t think it is, lol

I am fine with this approach. If a player is available that improves your team or could potentially improve your team go get em. Costs only money.

They did get hemmed in their zone all night but they don’t seem to run around as much….still not a good recipe for winning games but at least the compete level is there with consistency.
As far as Bellows….he’s worth a shot.

Think it is a bad choice to dress 7 defensemen. Your farm team is a couple hours away. You knew this a few days ago you would only have 11 forwards.

I do not think this team is fun to watch. They are getting outplayed in every game. Some badly. They look completely outclassed way to much for my liking.

agree on all, my son and I were just discussing watching this version compared to last year's version, just better entertainment, they don't seem to give up the slam dunk goals, high quality chances but Hart has been on. We seem to start with a decent record then collapse, very likely they lose their fair share of games and finish bottom 10 but it is a better compete with this group, seems to be a plan actually, to bend but don't break.

But he has not been Ivan the Terrible

The season is going pretty much as expected for me. Did I expect them to get off to a 5-2 start? HELL NO! However, the eye test is pretty ugly and this isn't sustainable. Hart is basically playing out of his mind with the exception of a questionable goal here and there. They are playing harder and that gives me a reason to watch more of the games, but the talent discrepancy is downright scary. I wonder if the Hurricanes will even let them touch the puck tomorrow night? Frost with 7 minutes of ice time. Eh what? For a guy that is said to have good speed and talent he sure seems to have trouble utilizing it.
