Would rather have seen Bailey get sent to Bridgeport after tonight and Bellows in the lineup, but not the people that see him everyday. LGI!

Can't believe we didn't get an in-depth write up on the massively underrated, underappreciated, misunderstood genius Josh Bailey and his 1000th game.

How did Bailey make 1000 games when he plays so physical and never let's players skate right past him? |

I’m expecting a big game from Bailey tonight. I can’t even type that without laughing. |

I still cannot believe he found himself in front of the net the other night for that goal. He must have gotten lost again.

Good for him the guy is obviously a good human being. It’s an accomplishment. We bust on him but he has scored some big goals and had his moments over the years. Believe me he frustrates the hell out of me, don’t get me wrong, but it’s a pretty big deal. Not many players have done it and the guy earned it no matter what anyone thinks of him. I include myself with that. |

All kidding aside, it is a fine accomplishment. It's just frustrating with his talent and his strength, he could have been a 70 to 80 point a year player. |

WTF up with this site the past couple days?? The thing about Bailey is we all seem to have our issues with him but so many of his teammates have nothing but positive views. I read something yesterday from Frans Nielsen saying something to the effect that Bailey is the smartest player he's ever played with. You don't notice unless you play with him. I know, cerebral Bailey. But everyone seems to appreciate this about him. |

I think it's his greatest strength that sometimes turns into a giant weakness. He does think the game really well...sometimes he does it to the point of overthinking, and sometimes he thinks so much he brings himself to a complete stop and quickly runs out of options. That's when he turns the puck over.
Barzal turns the puck over too, as we all know, but one thing I can say about him is he's almost always at speed, except for when he's stopping to cut back the other way. I think that might be why he doesn't corner himself into having no options as often as Bailey does.
...or maybe I'm the one overthinking it all |

Bailey carved himself out a pretty good career. Good for him. Have to respect that. With that said I’ll probably be cursing at the tv tonight at him. I haven’t lost touch of that. |
