We know, we know, it’s absolutely impossible to develop a couple prospects and also try and do your best to win hockey games
It would totally ruin Jack Quinn’s development if they upgraded from
Casey Fitzgerald. Makes total sense - sbroads24
they had no problem developing vanek, miller, roy, pomnmer, soupy with vets like teppo and grier and try to win while developing the kids |

Ya, Ethan Bear would make a huge improvement, lol.
I'm all for upgrading the roster in meaningful ways. That just isn't one, at all.
I'd rather see them trade:
- Olo+ for a decent 2RhD, because Joker isn't it. If you are going to fix it, then fix it right.
- Joker, Mitts/Krebs (+/-) for Horvat, he would look good on Cozens LW
Fvcking pages of whining about Bear, holy Christopher, lol. - IonSabres
do they have the stones to make a few 3 for 1 trades?
doubt they want to move assets |

Then they signed Comrie and the LilBushKid, while committing to graduating their top 2 prospects and welcoming their 1st-OA from a year ago.
But, we have to ignore those moves because it doesn't fit the Debbie Downer narrative.
It's a development year for several players. Development curves are not equal. Some fans, apparently the minority understand the uneven development process. But as genius as other fans think they are in absolutely knowing best, I'll take a guy who has proven he knows what he is doing, by having developed players for ~30 years.
But, go on Debbie, your Nancy sister's love it. - IonSabres
Seems like they committed to one JJ, Quinn and Krebs are in will see mode. There other number #1 is having growing pains. I don't get the point of it being wrong to want to try a help your D core out. It was a 5th and we have NO depth on that side. Maybe it doesn't work, but it was only a 5th, and he's a RFA so what is the problem. Imagine if it did, it's not like the kid has horrible metrics. |

This is ridiculous, it was a 5th rnd pick. Unless you have a crystal ball. |

Decade and half of incompetence really has shown the way for this fan base!!! Losing Breads losing and the Sabres have brought that out two-fold. |

Wouldn't mind seeing the Bills go after Corbett or Erving. Corbett could help next year to. |

It moves the needle? It doesn't.
No problem trading a 5th. The problem is expecting him to be much of an upgrade.
As pointed out in my post, make meaningful moves to fix issues, not bring in used, 3rd rate band aids |

I think it’s pretty obvious from the get go that the plan was to get Quinn and Peterka as many minutes as they could so that they can make a meaningful contribution next year.
Improve, but improve just enough that you still have lotto odds for Bedard/Fantilli/Michkov.
The biggest hole on this team is 1C, win the lotto and problem solved |

He just turned 25, he played very well in Edmonton. He was caught in a numbers game in Carolina. How can you tell me He might not have made a difference, I can't tell you he would. But for a 5th why not try, you aren't affecting any D prospects and you might just find someone to finish your top 6 D when Samuelsson comes back. |

vinny getting more ice time per game says otherwise
peterka is getting less than 13 minutes ice time per game and no pp time

He played top pair with Slavin for two months before he got Covid
Got back and couldn’t get back into the lineup consistently, then the Canes played Brendan Smith over him for a physical presence in the playoffs.
He was literally never benched for bad play. |
