Yes. Tk needed to bury one of those initial chances. |

Ironic... they end up losing, but it's the first game this season where they actually looked like an NHL hockey team. |

Other than TK and DeAngelo they were pathetic in the OT. |

When push comes to shove, he'll happily sacrifice development to win a game.
The only exception is teacher's pet, Noah Cates.

Frosty on his third coAch now, already falling in the depth chart. Really gets you going seeing Big Mac on your wing |

It's just funny remembering how much Chuck was trying to sell how many players under 25 they would have on the roster, and Torts saying he would play the kids.
Just a few games in and Laughts is getting 23 mins in all situations for some reason, Allison will get sent down the minute Brown/jvr comes back, Zamula's in the pressbox, and Frost is given two stone hands for linemates.
We'll be on game 82 and Torts will still be pulling out that same excuse about the kids not being ready to play against stiff competition and he was forced to ride the top-six, etc, lol |

I didn't think Laughton was that good tonight.

I thought Hayes and Farabee were particularly bad tonight. Hayes just had that lazy look all night. He will drive Torts crazy. Frost sucks. Thanks! |

Well at least our "fans" will be happy since we lost. I flipped back and forth with the Phils. RR was -2 with a penalty so let's light this board up with how he is the worst player in Flyers history. How about ND with a goal and assist!! |

I always hear that these guys are holding kids back from getting playing time, but my argument would be...what kids?

I was checking some reported posts and sorry they took a few days to get to, however there was some real vile stuff said and bans were issued. Let's play nice going forward with fellow posters.
If there's no mod around I'll come by and check on things when I can. |

Yes, what kids? Who do we have that should be playing? I am still surprised ND and ZM are both playing but we don't really have much depth. Hopefully Tipper and Belly will get more ice time as they gel with the team so we can see what they can do.

Hayes seems like he’s trying to emulate Jagr or Thornton - big slow body that takes his time and tries to make it hard to get a reach and knock him off the puck.
But he just loses the puck too much with what looks like slow, lacksidasical play. I’m sure Torts is fuming. He plays with zero sense of urgency.
I’m sure I’m looking too much into it but he’s a Boston guy who said the only way he’ll play for Philly is if they overpay. I’m worried he’s going to just coast this entire contract. |

Tough loss, but a very entertaining hockey game. One player that really has stood out to me so far is Sedlak. He has got to be the best waiver wire pickup the Flyers have had in a very long time. He always seems to be in the right place, makes the right decisions with the puck, make the simple plays, has really good speed and shows excellent patience. I hope he keeps this up because he is a BIG upgrade over a center like Brown. |

Oh just stop it! This is such a false narrative. Zamula has played well and will get his chances this season. Frost is getting what he deserves, and he is lucky he even gets that. If Frost had the urgency in his game that MacEwen has every single shift, we would be in the top 6 playing 20+ minutes ... like Noah Cates for example .. you know one of those under 25 guys you say are not getting any minutes! Tippet is playing really well, and Allison is showing good chemistry with Sedlak; if he stays healthy I think he will be a fixture on that 4th line with ND. Farabee is also under 25 playing big minutes. |

And same exact feedback .. he has the skills BUT .. IMO Frost just doesn't have what it takes to be a difference maker in the NHL. I suspect that if the Flyers were not so thin at center, Frost would be in the press box by now. |

Really bad mistake by Provorov with that turnover at center ice, and I was really disappointed that Farabee and Laughton just stood there instead of retrieving that puck. I am not a fan of Frost, but if you are going to have him on the team, why not use him with Tippet in OT with all that open ice? Frost only played 11 minutes so he had more legs than many other players at that point. |

Zed is earning his minutes, Allison has earned more. Frost played more and show more intensity. I am ok with Torts trying to push these guys, the young ones, young season and he has to set his expectation. Mac, he is all hustle, but he uses everything to get there, he can’t make a play on the regular after, and his hockey sense, well we know. You would think Torts is using him as an example with minutes. Bellows, needs time but skating was not his friend last night. Tippett, play him. Funny Torts sending messages to young kid, over plays top lines but plays a Seeler over a Zam. |

Really horrible defense by Provorov on the game tying goal. He turned away from the shooter towards a guy heading down the boards, giving the guy an uncontested shot. |
