Hawks are still not a playoff team, but a decent job from the coaches and some give a damn from the players goes a long way.

Good to see Kane starting to up his energy level a bit as the games go on here. We want to get a good price on him if he leaves, even if it's to sign back in Chicago in the off season. Maybe he isn't 100% but the secondary assists are at least keeping his point totals up.

Kurashev starting to play well and been pretty dynamic, KD will be licking his chops to trade him for picks.

Roos looking like a decent middle of the pack D maybe. Raddysh filling his role as second line forward. Athanasiou leading the Hawks with High Danger shot attempts and using his speed and hands. Lafferty working harder than anyone else on the ice. Toews doing alright, but still not looking 100% healthy IMO. Hard to complain about the guy leading the team in goals and going 65% at the dot, but just not quite himself. Katchouk doesn't look like he is an NHL player. I've noticed some really poor skating from him IMO. Seth Jones injury is going to test the back end, since he usually plays so many minutes.
Murphy and McCabe has been doing their job and I don't mine Caleb Jones for the most part, but gonna be tough to find offensive contributions from the blueline. Tinordi been a good guy in the 6 D spot. Jack Johnson hasn't been bad so much, but I think he is being asked to play too many minutes or in match ups he shouldn't.

The Hawks Powerplay has helped them so far, but probably gonna see it regress a bit and they will struggle a bit more to be in the game.

Well I read here back in 2013 Hawks weren't winning the cup because q scratched Stalberg and screwed up the team chemistry.........

Pretty sure that was a Truegrit thing. Could be wrong.

What I do recall is the blogger at the time, along with the posters who always whined about how soft that Hawk team was, portraying them as a bunch of "pirouetting ballerinas" who would assuredly wilt under pressure when the games became "real".

Then they won and some of us were actually happy about it.

It was....the king of the Tom Selleck fan club based on his avatar.

Going to the hire Hossa number retirement. Very much looking forward to that.

Actually S Jones injury should lead to Roos insertion. Please do not recall Vlasic. Allow Vlasic to play regularly fir a while in the AHL.

I don't mind C Jones playing NOW because I am thinking he will not hold a job after half season to show

Saw the game in person last night, 1st row of the 300 level for $49. There's something to be said for smaller crowds.

Domi is at least as good as Toews on faceoffs.

Kane, Domi & AA tried home run passes last night at least a half dozen times. D threw a hard pass from behind the goal line, to the forward along the wall, who tried to deflect it to another moving swiftly through the neutral zone. They only connected once that I recall

The D wasn't so bad last night, considering they all had to absorb more minutes

I enjoyed Tinordi rag-dolling Hartman in their 'fight'. Looked like a shoulder or collar-bone injury

No PPs last night for the Hawks, they lost one on the Kane/Domi/Jost incident, but good on Domi standing up on a dangerous hit. Domi & Kane are developing some chemistry, AA is a crapshoot, as LAHawk described, but he looks great when he clicks. He made Dumba look ridiculous.

Katchouk is looking for a permanent roster spot, he got credit for 6 hits and nearly put a guy through the boards on his 1st shift. All were clean hits. The Wild had an eye out for him all night

Stalock is really good on shots, but he's going to drive everyone crazy losing the net a few times a game

MAF is the best goalie I've seen in shootouts
