Putting Leo on the 1st line was not putting the team in the best spot to win. Same as not putting Palms with Barzal when they had success the few times they were on the ice together during the playoffs. Barry is a wonderful coach but he was very stubborn with his system and his lineup's. Both the Preds and the Isles really struggled on offense under Barry. Numbers do not lie. It's still very early but so far Lane has a better feel of the teams in terms of the style of play needed. Lane obviously saw the issues the team had on offense.

Hes a top 10 d man league wide in the next year or so imo

I'm starting to think with the way this team can play d and kill penalties and their added offense that they might be a force this year. Add to that the fact that sorokin has only been beaten on two deflections and even the taresenko goal was a fluke and they are looking really good

Him realizing that he would never have caught up with whoever was coming out of the box that O'Reilly was trying to hit was a veteran move. He wasn't catching him no matter what, so he stayed put and picked that pass off beautifully.

I swear I felt that check Clutter threw on Brown last night. What an absolute throttle that was🤣 what I love about clutter is later on he knew he was gonna get blasted and he still stuck with the play and got the pass off before he got blasted himself. It’s those little things about him that I love 👍
